Based upon requests, this is now a wiki - please feel free to edit - but please only post the suite that you are confirmed into and not what you ultimately get (eg PH Vendome books into Park Suite but many ultimately get a Park Executive Suite). I'll start with that one for formatting example - I will try to do refinements to this when I have some time later.

To check the room type you booked into, you may use Hyatt E-Concierge:

I confirmed into a grand exec earlier this year but I believe that the inventory is limited.

I used a DSU for Thurs & Fri evening at the Hyatt Crystal City (National Airport) and received the Ambassador Suite which while certainly not the fanciest suite, was comfortable and that balcony is a nice touch because you can see part of the Potomac and a part of the DCA runway (too bad it was incredibly windy and cold so it went unused). I have gotten a complimentary upgrade to this room the prior time I stayed and the hotel and enjoyed it enough that it was worth a DSU since I was catching up with an old friend and the living room area is cozy and well set up for hanging out with a 2-4 people.

Hyatt Regency Pier 66 : Fort Lauderdale, FL
Suite Type : Atlantic Suite 15th Floor of the Tower
http://pier66.hyatt.com/en/hotel/rooms/suite.html
Sq. Ft. 390 (says the website, but felt like 900+)
1 Bedroom - King bed with balcony, 1 Living room with balcony
1 full bathroom, 1 half bathroom in suite area

Happy with upgrade? Grade = A. Yes, very happy. The views from 15th floor are really really nice!

Request the tower when you stay here, the higher floors the better.

I got the same response via email:
I would like to inform that, the confirmation #xxxxxxxxx at Park Hyatt Chicago does not participate with Suite Upgrades using points or with free suites using points. This property does not participate in the Diamond Suite Upgrade program.
I called twice and found someone who said the other reps were incorrect on pretty much all points above - there just wasn't availability. So, call again. Good luck!

1. Hyatt Regency Jacksonville
2. Junior Suite
3. 740- to 1,104sq ft
4. 1 bedroom w/ King bed. Separate room with couch, chairs, small dining table.
5. Meh. Maybe a C or C- for this.. Wouldn't have used my DSU if it weren't expiring.
6. Will be posting a review w/ pics in the master thread.

Does anyone know what the policy is for moving suite upgrades reservations after the expiration date? I don't have solid dates yet. If I make a reservation using the suite upgrades and decide to move the dates at a later time after tomorrow (expiration date for suite upgrades), do I lose them? I was told by one rep that I wouldn't lose them if I moved dates as long as it was at the same hotel. I was told by another that I would lose them.

I just confirmed my fifth DSU for this ending elite year. I asked three times, "ARE YOU SURE I HAVE UPGRADES LEFT?", and two agents confirmed I did. Has this ever happened before? Will GP catch this? I have emailed confirmations.

It is my understanding from what I've read here that you will lose them if you make any changes to the reservation.

One property simply hasn't deducted one yet, but it will be eventually so you will lose one of your four post March.

Cross posting (between threads or forums) is not allowed on Flyertalk. I answered your question in the other thread.

I just checked my account and received four new certificates..however it states that

" “Free Night Award” shall be defined as one (1) night in any available standard room at any Hyatt hotel or resort designated as Category one (1) through four (4) under the Hyatt Gold Passport program. "

Does it mean I cannot now use certificates in higher, more expensive hyatts (cat 5,6,7)?

This is ridiculous..

Nothing to worry about. There is a glitch in the displays that all Diamonds are seeing online. The 2015 DSUs work the same as always, and the phone agents work the DSUs the same as usual. It's just the customer-facing online display which is mistakenly showing the DSUs as being Cat 1-4 award nights. Hyatt reps have said they are working to fix the display error.
