Backtracking.. I had this happen with my Hyatt Orange County stay. A simple phone call to GP inquiring about this, the adjustment and stay credit was immediately made. Any Hyatt rate on the website that pops up for the public, essentially qualifies towards GP stay/night credit.

pet peeve alert

Why do hotels insist on making us register for promos? If they are running a promotion, they should simply give us the benefits of it.

This is, of course, a stupid question. But as stupid question goes, it is important - a night checked in on November 30th, and checked out on December 1st should apply for this promotion - correct?

Because they don't want to waste points on people who are totally unaware of the promo and thereful would have stayed as many nights or spent as much money without the promo.

Yes, if it doesnt post automatically, and it may not, GP CS can do it manually.

Pays to be on FlyerTalk to be aware of promos like this.

Signing up is a good idea. Gets the points to those who wants it, and creates quite a bit of business, by creating mattress runs. Otherwise, hotel rooms go empty.

Whats the usual promo that runs around March/April like? When does that usually come out?

This promo clinched it for me. Now being a Las Vegas resident, I'm going for Diamond status. Staying at Excalibur tonight and then moving over to Mandalay Bay tomorrow. As an MLife Pearl member, I got a rate of $29 at MB tomorrow!

I thought casino rates were not eligible? Only those booked from Hyatt site count - am I wrong?

Yes but only when booked via Hyatt. $29 appears to be casino rate if I understand this right.
