I may have missed it but I didn't see a minimum stay associated (although I haven't tried to book a stay) so this could be a really good promotion - hope its not the "June promotion" though.
I didn't see the minimum stay requirement either but the following sentence from T&Cs makes this a not so great promo (if your sole purpose is to rake in the points):

Maximum 5,000 bonus points per member regardless of the number of stays.

This is very similar to the "promotion" that the Parker Palm Springs (Starwood) regularly run - $200 Food or Beverage or Spa credit on a stay - which for "midweek" (Sun-Thurs) runs $249 - so "net cost" of the room is $49 - providing that you "eat" a lot.
As I understand it, you need two separate stays. On the first, you get the 5K bonus points. On the 2nd, you get to use the $150 meal credit.
Offer is valid for up to USD$150 in food and beverage credit used in conjunction with a future stay between August 1, 2009 and January 31, 2010 at participating Hyatt Resorts in the U.S. and the Caribbean.
Have I interpreted this correctly? If I have, how is that food credit tracked?
Has anyone checked what use of this promo code does to the lowest available rate? In other words, do we pay a higher rate in order to use this?

Thank you for this -- for those of us in Southern California, and more importantly those of us who can stand summer heat, Grand Champions has AAA rates at $84.15 for August midweek. Better yet, the Regency Club is shown as closed July 6 thru September 3. Property also has G3 bonus on weekdays. Oh the possibilities!
Yes, I was just going to mention the Grand Champions $84 summer rate as well. And it looks like this offer code can be used for a single night stay there as well as I'm able to pull it up there with a single 1-night reservation.
I don't think they are obligated to give you that new set of GP pts for if the RC is closed though if it's closed for an extended period of time. but you should be able to stack G3.
That said, after reading the T&Cs, SD1K seems to be right that the $150 F&B credit is valid towards a FUTURE stay, not the stay that it's being earned on. I initially didn't read it that way, but the T&Cs seem to indicate it as such unfortunately.

1. They probably give you a voucher upon checkout good for a future stay. Kind of like the ones from year's past where you would get a $100 F&C voucher good towards a future stay at a Hyatt Resort. This seems to be the same thing, except the voucher is for $150 credit, and also that you get a 5k bonus on the initial stay.
2. Yes, this code can be added to the lowest possible rate it seems, at least I was able to add it to the $84 Advance Purchase rate at Hyatt Indian Wells Grand Champions.

But it doesn't state a "paid" stay, so one could use it at a points stay at Kauai perhaps??

I keyed on the same thing as SanDiego1K and gregorygrady, but to me, it still sounds like a nice deal if one stays a couple of times at one of the resorts off-season as noted above. As to the one-off provision, nevermind my recommendation of alternating properties (more than once) in reference to this offer in the other thread. But it's still a good idea when (OK, if) FFN returns.

In the past, the $100 F&B credit vouchers were never valid on award stays, trust me I tried several times. So my guess is that they will still NOT be valid on award stays. Especially given the following wording in the T&Cs:
Quote:
Offer not valid with groups/conventions, award stays, travel agent rates, Hyatt employee rates or third party rates such as, but not limited to, priceline.com, hotels.com, expedia.com, etc. Reservations must be made in advance and are based on availability. Credit is only valid for lunch and dinner and is not valid toward room service charges. Offer is only valid in conjunction with a stay. Only valid on eligible charges posted to your room account. No refunds for any unused portion of the offer.

I've used those old F&B certificates on awards stays in the past at the Grand cypress.
