Based upon requests, this is now a wiki - please feel free to edit - but please only post the suite that you are confirmed into and not what you ultimately get (eg PH Vendome books into Park Suite but many ultimately get a Park Executive Suite). I'll start with that one for formatting example - I will try to do refinements to this when I have some time later.

To check the room type you booked into, you may use Hyatt E-Concierge:

Whats the current DSU situation at Ziva Puerto Vallarta? The wiki seems to say that its the One Bedroom Plunge Pool Suite King (Feb 2016), but agents say its the Hyatt Ziva Club Ocean View Suite King.

Anyone have recent experiences?

I see it noted that for the HR Phoenix the suite isn't listed on their website? I'm staying on a fairly booked couple of days but might as well use the DSU if I can but no suites are listed as available to book (highest level room is available the "high floor" room).

Trying to figure out if it's worth calling in or if I should just assume no DSU availability.

I'd call. I saw no suite availability this year at a Hyatt and a HR and after calling, was upgraded to suites.

HR Phuket now accepts DSUs as they have purpose built several suites (by converting the spa and other buildings) because guest's (including myself) found the current rooms sizes too small and checked out after one night.

Just call in - I saw the same lack of availability and sent a message via twitter and was able to use my DSU. The hotel's website isn't updated to reflect all the different room categories available.

Cool - I called in but unfortunately no luck. All good though - the Hyatt opening up availability at our corporate rate saved me from staying at the Hilton Suites and having to Uber downtown to my meetings everyday, so I'll take it even if no DSU comes through.

Figured it was worth a shot since otherwise I'm on track to maybe use 1/4 DSUs if I'm lucky now that they expire at the end of February.

Just applied a DSU for the first time since the new website was implemented.

Have not received an e-mail reflecting the new room type, nor does my reservation reflect room type (great website upgrade, guys ). I do see that a DSU was pulled. We'll see what happens when I check in.

I received changes to a reservation about 18 hours delayed, seems they had an issue with the e-mail server? does not explain the room change not being reflected though online.

Frequently it shows up in the section of the confirmation titled "Cancellation Penalties" - why, I have no idea.

Thanks for the comments, but unfortunately no dice. Now at 24 hrs + from "upgrade." Only reference in the reservation to room type is "QNQN" under "Room Preference" apparently referring to the double queen room originally booked (as opposed to the Signature Suite into which I should be confirmed.

I'm really just burning DSUs at this point so curious how this will work out.

I'll update myself: HGP Concierge here on FT graciously intervened, and I now have an e-mail from the property confirming the suite upgrade. Website also shows upgraded room type, but App does not.

That's a lot of IT madness right there

I'm no IT expert, but it sure indicates a certain lack of data linkage.

Is there a delay in applying a DSU to an existing reservation? Is it a Hyatt IT problem that doesn't show the upgraded room? I received an email after talking to a regular HGP phone rep (Diamond desk closed) to apply a DSU, but the email only says

Additional Information: Diamond Suite Upgrade Confirmed

in the Cancellation Policy section.

I feel this HGP phone rep has never processed a DSU before and may not have done it correctly.

When I "retrieve my reservation" using the confirmation number, it shows the original reservation with no mention of the DSU.

Is this a Hyatt IT issue or a Hyatt phone rep issue?
