I don't think that's likely - one, I wouldn't expect a Radisson hotel agent to know the reason for a promo (other than "boost occupancy rates"). Two, I just had my GoldPointsPlus account closed because of the redemption rates - if one's lucky, 15,000 points could get one night in a really inexpensive hotel.

Not that I know of - there was an extra bonus during Faster Free Nights if one used a Mastercard, but ....

The bonus points can also be directed to Amtrak GR or Southwest RR. With SWA you would earn 24 total credits for eight single-night stays, equivalent to 1.5 RT awards (related thread on Rapid Rewards forum). So if you want points for domestic air travel the SWA offer is probably more generous than the other partner offers.

Just got my Virgin-Atlantic statement - with VS, it's 30,000 miles with eight nights, so now I'm conflicted between choosing Hyatt points or VS miles ...

Given that all but one hotel I'm currently scheduled in has a G2 and most of my stays are one night, I decided to do Hyatt points. Well over two nights in a Cat 5 (when counting the main bonus, G2s, base points, and bonus points) trumped 36,000 VS miles (VS also provides 750 miles per stay) with my travel habits but it was close. If I get to 8 stays, then I'll switch to VS.
I left Platinum Amenities out of the calculation, as my most recent amenity became a very nice bottle of wine at PH Paris - Vendome.

so if i join gold passport as a new member and i want both points and WN points, should i join with the WN link? Also I was thinking, if i join with just the gold passport, get my points and later decide to switch to miles, could i switch to either AA or WN.
Or it all just doesnt matter and I just need to sign up.
If you want to max out WN credits first, you can register for the hotel program and the promotion through the WN link. If you want to max out Hyatt points first, you wouldn't enroll through one of the airline links.

That's my conclusion as well. 8 stays and you get 1/4 of the credits you need towards Companion Pass. Definitely more generous than the other airline bonuses............................as long as you don't mind flying SWA (which I don't).

I had the first two bonuses post within a day of the second stay (both stays in the same week). The second 4-night stay and bonus are yet to post, a week after checkout...

Reason: ETA: I read the miles as bonus points

A few days after checkout, one can call GoldPassport support and they can import the reservation with rate paid and points / bonus points - I've done this when I've needed points (or FFNs) to post. I've never claimed miles so I don't know how much longer those would require to show up in a FF account after being reflected in the GP account.

I called Customer Service today about Gx bonus and was told that I can get both Points and FF miles for my 8 nights before April 30 promotion. Has anybody else heard of it.
Also, can FFN night be booked in another person's name and is it valid for properties outside the US.
Svasandani, I was originally told that by our own GP Concierge who later corrected herself. The truth is that if U choose normal GP points for a stay, U will get bonus points, while if U choose FF miles, U get bonus miles. The only way to get both 20K bonuses is to stay 16 nights.
FFNs are for the earner only, but are valid worldwide.
