I don't see why it's funny. My friend used to work for Hyatt and I tried entering his employee code, and at least online for dates well in advance it allows me to book using the Comp rate which is free as well as shaking up with employee discounted room rates and family & friends rates.

Seriously, you would expect that a non-Hyatt employee, using a Hyatt employee's code, could booked Comp rooms at a property and then get away with actually checking in and the hotel not verifying the eligibility of using the employee code?????

This is a public forum, visited on a daily basis by Gold Passport staff. You don't really think anyone will openly discuss breaking the rules of employee codes with you, do you?

I bet your friend is thrilled that you are booking comp hotel rooms with his employee number, unless he is planning on leaving the company.

Wait, was he under a heat lamp in Chicago this past weekend?

Also, is anyone familiar with the combination to the hotel safe at the Andaz 5th Avenue?

... Especially since there is a limit to the number of comp rooms per employee, per year....

Have a look at Hyatt Certificates. Sometimes (expecially for Grand Hyatt in Dubai) they are much better than any corporate rate. 185 USD.....per night

Of course it does. Saves 10% off Hyatt Daily Rate.

"COSTCO" needs to be in the Special Offers field. Alternatively, try 13365 (also Costco) in the corp/group# field.
