They wouldn't give us early check in or late check out which both seemed like reasonable requests. ZERO! They only give perks for gamblers because gamblers can call their casino host directly.
I'm a Hyatt Diamond = MLife Plat with very little gambling and no casino host.

I've checked in early and checked out late many times at multiple MLife properties, including MGM Grand.

Line skipping is a big benefit of having status. The Platinum/Noir check in line at MGM Grand is much shorter than the regular line. Same goes for most other properties. It was a bit tricky finding the Plat check in at the Monte Carlo; it was in their lounge. No wait there when I checked in.
Unfortunately, I can't remember where the NYNY Plat check in line is. I'll have to look next time I'm in the hotel.

We saved ~$55/ticket for Michael Jackson One due to an MLife discount and the room rates for Plats on the MLife website are the cheapest that I can find.

The Platinum check in at NYNY is to the left of the main check in, next to the Bell Desk through a glass door that says "VIP Lounge". They also have soda, coffee, water while you wait.

But I should get my Mlife membership card before entering, right? Or just walk in there with my Hyatt Diamond Card?

As a local with a young kid, I'm looking forward to free trips to the Shark Reef and Secret Garden:

Not sure how you'd get your Mlife card first. But you should connect the accounts first.

I got my card while checking in at MGM Grand a while back.

+1

You must status match first (i.e. before you head to Vegas). You don't have to have the physical card, they can print you one right there in the lounge at check in. But you do need to have the status matched prior to arrival.

If all else fails, he can open an MLife account at the NYNY MLife desk and get status matched by showing his Hyatt Diamond card, but I don't recommend that.

Exsea, use this link to get an MLife account and get it linked: http://hyatthotels.hyatt.com/content...ort/mlife.html

If you haven't received your MLife card in the mail by the time you go to Vegas, stop by the MLife desk first and get a card. The MLife desk is near the main entrance to the casino, across from the Hershey store. Go to the Plat/Noir line at the MLife desk.
If you can't find it immediately, follow the signs to MLife Players Club Desk or something along those lines - it'll be marked on several signs.

After you get the card, then go check in at the VIP Lounge.

.
Make an account online and link the accounts before coming to Vegas. Some properties (ex. MGM Grand) allow their FD agents to print out mLife cards for guests who might need them. The only exception are NOIR cards since they're usually only kept at the VIP lounge. No reason for a NOIR to come to the FD desk anyways...

Exsea, don't forget to charge everything that you can to your room so you can get HGP points for your spend.

You can charge a meal at any MLife property to your room (there are a few exceptions, but not many). Same with show tickets at MLife properties.

I never got a card in the mail; they said I could get one at the hotel.

The front desk printed it when I checked in and asked.

I didn't know if they mailed out cards; I got mine within a couple of weeks after the partnership was announced. I had to get my status matched at the casino so I've always gotten my cards (lost several) at the Players Club desk.

A bit confused

New to MLife and brand new Hyatt Diamond.

So I've linked my accounts, such that MLife now reflects Platinum to correspond with my Hyatt Diamond Status.

Now that they're linked, do I need to do anything else on upcoming Vegas stays to get Hyatt stay credits and points? Do I have to give my Hatt number at check in or not?

And am I automatically double dipping and getting both MLife points and Hyatt points or am I choosing only Hyatt by linking (or giving Hyatt # at check in).

Thanks!

You should be automatically double dipping. It helps to make sure they have both numbers when you check in. Even that doesn't always work and you have to request credit later.

Thanks very much. And if this is true, why is my MLife tier credits still at 0 despite me staying at a bunch of Hyatts over the past two months? Seems like if I'm double dipping I should be getting Mlife tier points from these stays.

The double dipping only goes one way Mlife > Hyatt. You don't earn any Mlife credits by staying at Hyatt, but you do earn Hyatt points when staying (eating, entertaining, etc) at Mlife properties.

This post may help explain how Mlife works: http://singleflyer.com/2015/02/18/ml...plained-vegas/
