Pay with (Chase UR) points - can you apply suite upgrade cert?

Does anyone know if I book a room via Chase Ultimate Rewards website and pay with UR points, if I can then apply a diamond suite upgrade certificate? Many thanks!

"Paid nights" means that you pay with money, not points.

If you pay with UR points, it's as if you are paying with cash. Now whether the way Chase actually books it counts as a paid reservation with Hyatt vs the third party booking sites, that's a different story.

Do You get STAY credit for this reward?

Piggybacking on this question....
Wonder if Chase can book the "MY Elite Rate for this?"
also would this type of booking get STAY credit?
Just curious for the mid-priced cat. 6 hotels might be beneficial to use this type of booking.
TIA

Anyhow you look at it paying with UR points is a bad proposition.
