Should I rebook with the P&C Feature?

I booked 1 night at the Park Hyatt Seoul at pre-devaluation rates.

Would it make sense to rebook it with the Points & Cash feature (if available)?

Park Seoul
Old Rate: 15,000
New Rate: 15,000
P&C Rate: 7,500 + $100 (1.33 cents/point)
Taxes are about 10% at this hotel, so I'd assume that the $100 would be taxed at the same rate. Is that a reasonable assumption? So I'd be paying a total of $110 for 7,500 points, which comes down to 1.47 cents/point. I value Hyatt points at more than that. So I assume this is a no-brainer and I should rebook with the Points & Cash feature.

Thoughts? Am I missing something?

I would, especially for the stay/night credit

Ok.

I forgot to mention, there is no way that I will stay 25 times or 50 nights at Hyatt this year. So the stay/night credit has zero value to me. I already have Platinum status through the credit card.

By the way, the hotel is not showing a My Elite rate. The refundable Hyatt Daily Rate is $447.45 including taxes. So it's about 3 cents/point.

In my mind, if the cash rate is over $300 on a property in this category that P&C starts to get attractive. At $447, I'd jump at the P&C option.

Where are you finding the P+C rates? I don't see them listed when I use hyatt.com

You have to call for P+C res. If available, the rate is fixed according to the chart. And they are only good for a standard room (the same as for an all-pts award).

The answer is NO for Incline Village (Lake Tahoe): $142/nt v. $125 + 10k

Similarly NOT a good deal for Park Hyatt Tokyo on weekdays: $371/nt v. $300 + 15k

Of course Incline is rarely a good value on points, as contrasted to Tokyo where 22k/nt used to provide a decent value at an expensive property.

I am planning to rebook my Andaz5thAve rez- I'd rather pay $150+12.5k v. 22k/nt much less $555nt! Still not as good as those days when I could snag a room at the Waldorf-Astoria for $99 on priceline!
