I have been informed by the hotel (Director of Sales), by my Private Line representative and Diamond Line representatives that Andaz Tokyo is not accepting use of the suite upgrade certificates. It even seems this hotel has secured exemption from Diamond upgrades as well.
Anyone else hearing this?

Le Petit Prince
According to an interview article, his motto is "Be yourself. We'll adopt your story." So I am expecting tailor-made service as "Le Petit Prince" travelled around and had precious experience at each visit many many years ago.

I too booked this hotel prior to the "close" of using DSU. I cancelled another reservation at the GH, so I am hopeful they will not claw it back.

Cannot book the first five days now. I wonder if they're fully booked, or if they are having issues with making the June 11th open date (which would be really unusual for a Japan opening...)

I think they are genuinely fully booked (I myself booked the first five days).

One thing that makes the Andaz Tokyo unique among Japan Hyatts is that the standard room can accompany three adults. So you find yourself in this situation, you can make an award reservation without having to worry about paying extra for an upgrade or a second room.
Apparently one extra bed per room is complementary.

It seems also that, unlike some Hyatts in Japan,
there is no extra charge for the 2nd adult staying in the same room (for a paid stay).
For the 3rd adult, they charge 5000 yen more (at least for the dates I checked).

But there is no extra charge for the third adult on an award reservation.
