Does anyone know if they can tell you over the phone whether you received one of these promotions or not? Haven't been able to check my mail in a week due to travel, so am curious if I qualify for one of these.

I hardly spend anything on my card.. but I also got the spring promo of 5K for 3K spend.. which I met solely base on a stay at the PH Shanghai.... so for that one stay (just a bit over 3K) I recieved.

3000 x 5= 15,000
30% bonus (platinum) = 4,500
3600 spring bonus
3000 x 3 for the credit card= 9,000
5,000 point bonus

total= 37,100 points earned for that one stay... not too shabby...

Just got the same promo for the summer..

If the number on the back of the card doesn't produce any results, I would try sending a secure message through Chase before contacting Hyatt. I'm not sure Hyatt has access to that info. I went through Chase and the rep who responded said they would have to redirect my question to another department. I received a timely response with all of my answers.

Bummer for me. I received the 5,000 points bonus for $3000.00 spend--and I'm hosting a birthday party at a local restaurant on the 30th that will come to about $1400.00. The promo starts the next day. Guess I'll use my Chase Sapphire preferred. C'est la vie

The 30th falls on a Sunday and it will not post until July 1st or 2nd.
You might want to check with Chase whether this promotion goes by transaction date or posting date.
I had promos before where banks went by the posting date.
You should also ask the restaurant to process the charge on the next day just to be sure.
Let us know how it works out.

Since I`ve never received any offer, I sent a secure message and they replied with: No, it was only available to a special list of people. They ended with a line that they apologized for any inconvenience this caused me. What crap.

This thread is giving me more reasons to apply for the Hyatt card. The initial 2 free nights and annual free night with the annual fee is good enough on its own, but these bonus offers for additional spend are pretty nice.

I know of two different scenarios to give you. Both of them are related to the closing date of your billing statement. In general, the bonus points post when the statement credits post to your Hyatt account. But, if your spending threshold is met very close (a couple of days) to the statement closing date, I've seen the bonus points post with the closing date in the following month.
