C48JUL - Another 48h Sale - July 24-25, 2012

Hyatt announced another 48h sale for hotels in the U.S., Canada, and Caribbean. Bookable through 11:59 PM CDT July 25, 2012.

www.hyatt48hoursale.com

For a limited time, simply book a participating Hyatt hotel or resort using offer code C48JUL beginning July 24, 2012 and save up to 30% on a family vacation, romantic getaway, or just a holiday for you.

Offers and stay dates vary by participating hotel.

Unfortunately, I did not find a list of particiapting hotels.

Didn't work for GH SFO for me, or HR Maui (the only 2 hotels I'm booking at the moment.. I have no business travel planned for right now) I tried it on HR Waikiki and it dropped a significant amount. Solid sale if your hotels are participating. ^

No, it varies. I was able to see an $89 weekend rate at the Hyatt Regency Reagan National during September.

Correct dates for booking.

Actually the eligible dates for booking are "for travel between Wednesday August 1, 2012 and Wednesday November 7, 2012".

Maybe, but I just tried the PH Chicago for some dates in October and the rate was "not available."

Overall pretty poor sale. I stay in NOVA/DC area and other then the $89 dollar rate I saw at the Reagan National Hyatt Regency, nothing else. It would help if a list was provided each time. The SPG sales are much better in this respect. Last year I was able to pick up one of the many HP's in the area for $49 a night during these sales, but not now.

So Hyatt, why do I bother to stay with you at $76 a night (cheapest rates seen) when Marriott, Hilton, and SPG offer $55-$69 a night the same weekends?

it would be nice if they had a calendar like club carlson where is shows what days the rate is available... Just painful checking every day to see if the discount is there or not.

It's a pretty useless site I think. The only good feature is that it shows all hotels in an area, but most do.

For pricing it's very, very basic. A lot of hotels show a calendar with prices.... I also dislike the fact that if one date is more expensive that rate is normally applied to all nights. A very crappy way to treat your customers.

Saw the same, but in the rate details the eligible dates were different than what dlesshafft posted. DFW HR was "Stay Dates: 07AUG12-22OCT12"

So discount for DFW HR is 20% off HDR (my DFW GH corporate rate is cheaper than this, so no thanks. I'll stay in GH and not pre-pay)

Also came up with nada for SFO area.

nothing in the Seattle area either. the lack of a list of participating properties is really annoying.

Checking whether hotel participates in 48hr sale

One way to check if a Hyatt is participating in the 48 hr sale is by clicking the hotel link. Once at the hotel main page, click on Special Offers on the left hand side link.

Example:

HR Montreal

Hyatt promotes a 48 hour sale and will not provide a list of hotels particapating in the sale. I hope the "powers that be" will realize that they had a sale and nobody came...and they will wonder why?
This info should be on the manager in charge desk tomorrow and I hope he/she will make some changes.
Called Gold Passport and they had no info on the hotels taking part in this sale.
Gold Passport concierge..your thoughts on this, please.
