Stayed in a regency suite (upgrade) and an executive suite (6000 points). Really a great hotel. Recommend it. Here some pictures:

Got early check in and upgraded to 6th floor Studio Suite as Diamond on first visit to this property. The room is very spacious.

As posted in the other thread.

Leaving Hyatt next week...

'Regrettably, as of 23:59:59 on 19 March 2014, Hyatt Regency Warsaw will no longer be operated as a Hyatt hotel, and Hyatt International (Europe Africa Middle East) LLC’s affiliation with the hotel will come to an end at such time.'

As noted in another thread, this property is no longer Hyatt as of 3/19/2014.

Oh, no! I had a couple very pleasant stays there.

Me too.

I also have some future stays there. I doubt that they will give anything about a status...

If reservations were made prior to the announcement I was told the points will be credited after we mail in our folio but the stay and nights will not be credited so if this is the case, any stay after March 19 will neither count toward elite status or toward the current promotion.

Does this make sense to anyone affected by this?

Honestly I do not care about the points themselves, just about the stay and night count (e. g. for the current promotion) plus the status benefits.

I have a Diamond suite upgrade in this hotel in October.
Does anyone know what will happen to that upgrade in a case like this?

Most of the time reservation is honored as made - not sure about the suite upgrade. YMMV

What a shame, one of the few hotels that always assigned me to an excellent room on the first try. Stellar breakfast too. And for some conveniently located next to the Russian Embassy

Guess I will be moving my biz to the Intercon.

This was one of the very few Hyatt properties in Europe which was good for an affordable mattress run. Probably why it is leaving the portfolio. Does anyone know what brand it is being reflagged to?

Thanks.
I contacted the hotel yesterday. Indeed the reservation is honored as made, the suite upgrade as well.

It's more than a pity that soon Hyatt will not be represented anymore in a still growing city like Warsaw. (and also being my favorite over there)

Any idea why Hyatt is leaving Warsaw?

Thanks BIndair! Did they state something about the nights of reservations starting before and ending after March 19 all counting with regards to points and status nights?
