Thanks for letting us know. i have just booked all my travel for after 15th november and booked a whole group to Bali in feb instead of march to qualify.
I would think with all the problems in the hotel industry at the moment that they would step up promotion.
i know that when i stay free i always use all the restaurants and spend quite a bit in the hotel.
I find it quite amazing that they would drop this most popular of promotions.
I really needed those nights to keep my diamond status.
Starwood has been getting all my nights with their free weekend promos.I qualified for their platinum in the first 6 months.
On the Gold Passport website, there is a link which makes a window pop-up indicating there will be no NAN. See at bottom of page... SAA Voyager members the window reads: SPECIAL MESSAGE
In light of recent events, Hyatt Gold Passport has chosen not to implement the Nights After Nights promotion. We are in the process of developing a wide array of values and rewards and as always, this site will provide you with the most timely information. We invite you to visit www.goldpassport.com often.

Poor decision for Hyatt I believe - although we shall never forget - we need to go on with our lives, both personal and corporate. I for one will now definitely switch all my stays to Starwood, since this will make it possibly for me to reach platinum with them for the first time.
Poor decision by Hyatt. I had most of my stays with Starwood to begin with but now I'm going to have competition for those upgrades.
Tried Hyatt briefly for the free weekend promotion but had such a difficult time trying to use it at a property I wanted and ended up at the Hyatt Greenwich which wasn't very exciting anyway.
I too am sad and shocked to hear that there will be no NAN this year. I have tried desperately over the past two years that I have been a member to make the most of those fewe months. Since many hotel chains see slowing, NAN would have been a good way to guarantee Hyatt's continued business!

Well then, who out of Marriott, Starwood or Hilton is going to pony up with a nice year end bonus for the 25 nights that I save for Hyatt every year starting Nov 15th... They just lost my business. NAN qualification is pretty much the only time I stay with them.

Same here. Hyatt gets my business during NAN. Starwood gets it the rest of the year. No NAN, or something truly "more generous", then no Hyatt stays, unless they can beat Starwood on price and/or quality by a large margin after I've maxed out the Starwood promotion.
