PH Vendome is my favorite as well.

Views are not important to me, so I don't really consider that when listing my favorite hotels. I value the service, the quality of the room and the little "extras" that I get for being a good customer.

I also like the PH Washington.

And although not the same boutique/intimate vibe as Park Hyatts, I also really enjoy the Hyatt Scottsdale, but I also really enjoy trips to Scottsdale in general.

Haven't been to PH Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai or Buenos Aires.

I am extremely interested in what hotels in the Hyatt chain other members feel combine extraordinary architecture, history, beauty and/or views well worth the trip?

My experience is there are some hotels while extremely well appointed with excellent service you could basically be in any warm climate or any city and not know the difference. I really have come to appreciate those hotels where you know you are in Hawaii, Shanghai, Chicago, etc from the view from your hotel room.

it is a very subjective matter and I appreciate the perspectives of all FT members each from their own unique experience. They can be urban or resort hotels; historic or brand new. I hope we can use this thread to cull out the very most distinctive hotels in their portfolio around the world that are well worth a special personal trip.

One of my all-time favorite Hyatts is the Park Hyatt in Chicago. Great views were there, but just EXTRAORDINARY service in so many ways.

One of the few times I can really say the stay was truly sublime.

i loved the Park Hyatt Istanbul. The spa room was awesome and I liked the breakfast there better than I've had anywhere else (I've never had better fresh pressed grape juice, and I've looked for it too!).

Thanks Honey4Life12 for the compilation of related threads it was very helpful!

It was particularly interesting to hear members providing frank feedback on other members recommendations. It would be interesting to see from these many threads whether we can cull some type of consensus of a dozen or so of the most well rounded Hyatt hotels (stunning views, great service, large spacious rooms/suites).

I'd have to say the HP Chantilly (Virginia) South.

It is simply extraordinary how, at times, one can stay there a couple times and get a free night at the PH Vendome or Tokyo.

Plus some nice Gx bonuses.

Hotel and the standard room we were in at the PH Sydney are both very nice, but the location and especially the views of the Opera House and harbor (from some but by no means all of the rooms) are what make it really extraordinary. I suspect that a suite with a superb view would be fantastic as well.

What, no love for Hilton?

Park Hyatt Dubai is a lovely hotel in winter.
georgeous sunny warm days by the lovely pool.
Id go for the GH DXB in summer.
Paris Vendome -though I havent been there since two weeks after it opened.
always loved GHHK.
Sydney position of course.

cant think of any other exceptional.

I have booking for Milan in May so maybe that will be added later.

Hyatt Jersey city has stunning views of the Manhattan skyline and great service.

I recently stayed in the Grand Hyatt in Berlin. Again, great service and some really nice artwork in the hotel.

Why would it be warm & sunny in the winter at the PH but not GH Dubai?

And why would it be nicer at the GH than PH in the summer?

I didn`t even know this property existed until I saw pictures of it in an advertisement, but the Hyatt Regency Oubaai in South Africa looks quite nice. It seems to have views that might qualify as "Extraordinary"

Anyone been to this property?
