this is being discussed on the AA board as well
with the recent devaluation it may make sense for me to jump on this deal just as I go into my Hyatt run next week ^ so good timing on my part
30K AA is definitely worth more to me in five one night stays than anything i can earn in GP points especially when you consider the GP inflation that hit us this week
EDIT: AA Forum Thread - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/ameri...y-2-stays.html - I'm also leaving this year since its directly Hyatt related.

This is a great promo. Especially since I have a few stays at a property with no Gx bonuses. My only question is about choosing miles instead of points. The FAQ says this
"You need to request airline bonus miles at the front desk for any stay where you prefer miles. You will need to provide your airline number at that time. Hyatt offers no way to permanently chose airline miles. Further, Hyatt Place employees seem to have no way to request airline miles. Some have reported being able to chose miles at Hyatt Place by using the check in kiosk. If not, request the airline miles after your HP/SS stay has posted."
But is there a code or something they need to put in or that we need to put in when booking, or is it simply register for the promo and say upon checkin "I want my airline bonus miles, my AA# is XXXXXX." And if you do online checkin, do you just note that in the comments field?

Connected to AA dropping Marriott, or vice versa?
I wonder is this promo could be related to an announcement that I received today that AA and Marriott Rewards are parting ways?

I'm looking at the promo now and it states that
3000 miles on each of your first five (5) stays. and and another 10K after stay #5 which is what someone posted above.
Is SD1K saying that in addition to the above, Hyatt gives 500 miles per stay normally and that the 3000 per stay is really 3500 miles per stay with the bonus plus normal base miles?

You'll likely have to call customer service to do this - don't even bother asking at the hotel as most of them don't seem to know how to credit the stay to miles. As long as you are registered in the promo, you'll be fine
Thanks OP for posting!
