Ten lucky frequent flyers to receive tickets to private screening of George Clooney's newest movie "Up in the Air" + the wisdom of FlyerTalk
What do George Clooney and Randy Petersen have in common? They are both the star attraction of prizes being awarded in a new contest from Conde Nast Traveler. (If you guessed hairstyle, please step to the side for your SSSS screening
).Over on The Perrin Post, Wendy Perrin spells out the details of the contest. The gist though is that, to gain an entry into the contest people need to submit the biggest dilemma they face when it comes to using miles and points. Ten of these will be selected and those who submitted them will win tickets to a private New York City screening of "Up in the Air", starring Clooney, AND they'll have their dilemmas/questions answered by Randy Petersen. Of course, every star depends on his/her co-stars. George doesn't act alone in the movie, and Randy will be calling on members of the BoardingArea/FlyerTalk community for input on the winning questions. So, please keep an eye on your PM inbox over the next several days, as Randy just might call on you. And the really important news - FTers are not excluded from the contest. Enter your dilemma before noon, Wed., Nov. 25 (even if you have already posted about it on FT) for your chance to win. Cool contest Conde Nast. Good luck everyone. GO HERE: http://truth.travel/ |

VOTE: FOR THE CANDIDATES OF YOUR CHOICE!
It's time for our annual TalkBoard elections. We are voting for members to represent you into the future of FlyerTalk. The TalkBoard is active in such issues as new forums, changes in features such as signatures and represents one of the very rare User Advisory Committees of any online community in the world, especially one the size of FlyerTalk.
Voting began on Nov. 10 and ends Sun. Nov. 23 at midnight. Five TalkBoard seats are up for grabs. If you do vote (and we hope you all do), please take the time to read through all of the candidate's platforms and make an informed choice. First time here? - Posting Guidelines for the Hotel Deals Forum
Welcome to Flyertalk and the Hotel Deals forum!
Question: What should be posted in the Hotel Deals Forum? Answer: All Flyertalk members are encouraged to post any and all Best Rate Guarantees (BRG’s) as many visit this forum regularly and appreciate the generous efforts taken to share in the opportunity to save some money. Also, please feel free to post information regarding fantastic promotional rates, loyalty-point bonuses and mistake rates. Discussions and opinions about specific properties as well as the end results of checking in with a mistake rate offering terrific deals are welcomed as well. Question: What should not be posted in the Hotel Deals Forum? Answer: Please make sure that what you are posting in this forum is of primary interest to those looking to save on their accommodations. Advertisement posts with embedded reference links or promoting referral links or other BRG websites will be removed. The software used at Flyertalk allows members to add a signature line to their postings. You are welcome to use the signature line feature promote your blog, shout out to others to contact you for a referral code or make a statement that complies with Flyertalk TOS. Posts offering industry discounts exclusively for travel agents or airline crew will be removed as they are not meant to be publicly posted. Before posting, ask yourself if the deal you want to post is simply a published website promotion for a specific chain. Would it be more appropriate in the Hilton or Hyatt forum perhaps? New threads inquiring about the best possible rates at a specific property or assistance finding accommodations at a specific geographic location will be moved to the appropriate Flyertalk forum where they will get a better response. Question: What can I do if I need assistance or see an inappropriate post? Answer: I encourage you to contact me at any time with questions or concerns. If you posting something here by mistake and meant it to go in another forum, I can move it for you. If you see a spam posting, rude behavior or a post that needs editing, please click on the red triangle icon at the bottom of the post that needs my attention. Of course, you are welcome to send me a private message anytime. Unless I am away on business or wandering around the planet, I visit Flyertalk and monitor the Hotel Deals forum a couple of times a day. Please be patient if it take a few hours or even a day or two for me to get back to you. Thank you for visiting! MileageAddict Moderator, Hotel Deals |
