using this promo code NFAF,the fact that I would be using gift certificates,would that make a difference in using this code.......
Also,just wanted to confirm that this code is all thats needed,no employee #(would this be considered the IATA code)????????......

All the info you need is in the original post. Gift certificates and upgrade certificates work fine with this promotion. The employee number is called the booker ID code and that is to be entered on the third page of the reservation prorcess (where you enter all your personal information).

Stayed 5 nights at the Plaza hotel in NYC. very nice hotel and excellent service. i booked the Deluxe Rose Suite, it is a large Jr. Suite about 730 Sqft. very well decorated. if the discounted rate is available during my next visit to NYC i will stay at the plaza again. if not then St. Regis offer better quality for the same regular price.
Has anyone received any confirmation about extension of this rate and program? It would appear that the rate is allow bookings now into Jan. I am eager to make some bookings, but would hate for them to be voided.

Not oficially, but as suggested in many previous posts, make the reservation, and contact the hotel directly to confirm/verify.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: I kindly ask that no one use my booker ID (or anyone elses for that matter) to book for Swissotels and Raffles. There has been a warning email sent out to all colleagues about this matter. This promotion was originally only intended for Fairmont hotels and resorts and not the other two chains and must remain that way. Thank you for your understanding.

As an FYI, I just booked the Fairmont San Francisco for $96 on gtahotels.com. Cheaper than using Friends and Family. Not sure how many dates are available at this price.

make the reservations if you can as the hotels will/should honor existing reservations.
nothing official that it has been canceled past december but nothing to say its been extended yet either. patience i guess and keep making the reservations till they say something...

Well I don't think there's needs to be an announcement that it's done at December 31 as that is the expiry on the promotion itself. I would still be on the side of caution with any reservations past that date as the hotels have every right to not honour your rates as it's clearly stated (for now) that it finishes at the end of the year.

As helpful as the poster above has been, it's important to note that this statement above is ABSOLUTELY FALSE and MISLEADING.
The hotels issue confirmed reservations. They will not cancel your booking or question the rate... if you have a confirmed booking. The Friends and Family promotion has been running for over 20 years. They may cancel the NFAF code, but it will not affect your reservations.
