They finally posted the correct t&c's for the 10% off LGBTSAVENOW code for hotels on Orbitz:
Book a qualifying hotel between May 1, 2009, and September 7, 2009, for 2 or more nights for travel between May 1, 2008, and November 15, 2009, via Orbitz and instantly receive 10% off your booking through the use of the promotion code. To display qualifying hotels, click "I have a promotion code." and enter the promotion code, then look for hotels marked with the icon "COUPON." Limit one discount per hotel room and one promotion code per booking. Discount may not be used toward the booking of a vacation package. Discounts are not redeemable for cash for any reason. Any attempt at fraud will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Void where prohibited, taxed or restricted. Orbitz reserves the right to change or limit the promotion in its sole discretion.
Buyer beware using this promo. I just did a price check of the Moorpark Hotel in San Jose for one night, June 5.
The room rate for a Deluxe King using the $50 credit promo is $124, plus tax for a total of $136.40. The $50 credit is applied at check-out for an adjusted total of $86.40 (assuming you use the full $50 credit).
Using the hotel's standard pricing, the same Deluxe King sells for $77. With tax, the total comes to $84.70.
Booking through Orbitz with the SUMMERVIN 15% promo, the Deluxe King is $72.86including tax.
I checked the rate for every Friday in June and July, and the rate using the $50 credit promo is $124, against the Standard rate of $77.
So it's clear the rate using the $50 room promo is inflated to build in the cost of the promotion.
Code: 10JUN Takes $10 off PER night with a 2 night or more purchase of Expedia Special Rate hotels. Minimum appears to be $75 per night even though it is not listed in the t&c's. Book by June 30, travel by August 31.
It also works for a FLAT $10 off a vacation package. The field to put the code in is many pages into the process after picking a package unlike hotels.
Use coupon code: SDHOTEL6 for new hotel only bookings made between June 6th, 2009 and June 8th, 2009 and receive 10% off. Must be a "Price Match Guarantee" hotel. Travel June 6, 2009 thru December 31, 2009.
