On another matter, I have a 2-night "small town stay" next month where I can't play priceline or any of the chain promos and could really use some decent bonus money to use on hotels.com, travelocity, etc. It seems like the best currently available is that 20 pounds off on an expedia site. Anyone see a better 2-night hotel bonus? It seems like the hotel promos were a little better a month or so ago.
I got my Priceline code by Twitter Direct Mail yesterday.

Yes, the sales and promos have dropped off compared with the last couple of months. It'll be interesting to see whether or not folks will be traveling this summer and the industry's response.

Thanks for the post, CanuckFlyHigh.

Sadly, there are few coupons available for use now. The expedia.co.uk coupons expired April 30th as did the hotels.com coupons.

The only good one I know, for a straight hotel booking, of is the Orbitz $75 off 4-night booking coupons (4odwr75).

I was traveling yesterday, so have now moved things to "Expired". Thanks for the reminder.

I think economy + swine flu will produce sales and coupons. We shall see.

BigE: Some hotels don't allow the HC1W10NIGHT discount code. Hotels must be 3*. See http://moneysavingexpert.com/deals/hotel-sales

The massive hotel website Hotels.com is giving MoneySavers £10 off per night at hotels rated 3 stars or above via its UK website Hotels.co.uk. You must book between 28 April and 10 May 2009, but stays can be up to 31 Dec 2009.

Stays can be up to 28 nights. (The deal excludes excludes hotels not covered by Hotels.com’s ‘Low Price Guarantee’and also the following hotels: Harrah's, MGM, Starwood, Marriott, Intercontinental, Crowne Plaza, Hotel Indigo, Holiday Inn, Nippon Airways, Staybridge and Candlewood Suites hotels).

Gold Coast (Las Vegas) is 3*, 8.15 GBP (instead of 22 GBP) for 5/13/09.
Four Queens (Las Vegas) is 3*, 8.66 GBP (instead of 17.07 GBP) for 5/13/09.

I added hotels.com promos: $50 MasterCard w/ 3+ nts at select hotels, Memorial Day sale link and today is Tuesday... the 24 hour sale day.

I will be MRing and mattress-hopping this week. Most likely won't update here again till Monday+.

I believe Expedia coupon codes only work for "Expedia Special Rate" hotels, indicated on the search results page.

That would make some sense, as the rez I was trying to book was at a small non-chain hotel. It never offered me an opportunity to enter a discount code.

coupon 20GBP valid ONLY for ONE use...no minimum...

You MUST NOT be an EXPEDIA (.com/.es/.co.uk/.it = "everyone") customer already, expedia can cancel your reservation if you are already a registered customer... so, please, pay attention...

win the first that register and book....
How does one book one of these without getting it rejected?

Do you open a new account, if so can I use the same email account I used before or do I have to set up a new email account?

What if I have an account but have never booked anything on it?

Thanks

just tried the code, and got this response:
Sorry, we didn't recognize the promotion code you entered. Please re-enter the code and try again, or remove the code to continue. (Message 1756)

but this did show below the map of destinations:
Through 5/31, book any hotel in St. Louis and receive a FREE $50 gift certificate from Restaurant.com (Select a hotel and add FREE offer on the add Attractions & Services page).

so i can get the same thing, just no 20% discount

if anyone need more of these 20 GBP expedia.co.uk coupon codes, just PM me with your email, or more email addresses ( 1 email - 1 code) and I will send you the code. they are generated from expedia.co.uk user account.
