It is definitely possible to book trips outside the US. I have a three night trip from Munich to Warsaw coming up, with 3 nights at the Intercontinental and a flight on Lufthansa, for just over $200.

Some good deals for the ICs in Bali and Seoul as well.

The first part has been answered for you by jpdx. I can't answer if you will have difficulty paying with a non-US based credit card but if it works like the Expedia UK refer a friend promo it should not be a problem.

Benefit. A darn cheap trip if you can find one. Again, the lowest I've found is $43.99 for LAX-LAS at the Candlewood Suites for 3 nights. Also, WAS-EWR at the Holiday Inn Newark for just over $44 for 3 nights. There are others. I know you're looking for international travel so go looking...it's a fun hunt.

As for points, if that means something to you, for example, I got nothing out of my recent Priceline package at the Intercontinental Montelucia in Arizona and air travel on US Airways. This was not a name-your-own-price.

I've been working on BUF-JFK via Jetblue, but need 4 tickets. I had two lined up in open browsers, created a new account, and now I don't even see JetBlue as a choice on the expedia. I am leery of the expedia site.

Expedia $200 IHG promo

I think Expedia has fixed the problems with mainline major carrier domestic flights not working with the promo. EVERY flight combo I tried with every major carrier (I tried AA, CO, DL, NW, UA) that previously did not work ARE now working with the 200IHG promo this morning. Remember, they still have to be non-refundable flights to make the promo work, though.

I agree. Took it for a test drive, CO mid Sept. EWR-LAS for 175.00 on CO, no longer going error on me.

Here's an example that I posted on SD of a really low priced package and how to make it work when the price of the package is so low it won't take off the $200 coupon:

ATL-Miami (but select FLL as the airport after it asks which airport). AirTran. Many dates but my example is 9/12-15. Candlewood Suites Miami Airport West. $217.34 BEFORE coupon. Taxes $44.85. Total has to be equal to or higher than the taxes AFTER $200 coupon so an add-on or multiple add-ons totaling $27.51 MUST be added. I added A. Dinner at Hard Rock Cafe for $20.00. B. One Green TerraPass (carbon footprint) $6.99. C. One subscription to a magazine. $1.00.

Total after coupon $45.33 which includes air, hotel, taxes, dinner at Hard Rock and a magazine subscription and that "green" fee...for 3 nights.

I'm looking for a discount code for use on any of the major online travel sites (expedia, hotels.com, orbitz, travelocity, etc) for $X off a 3 night Hotel ONLY stay. A bunch were posted a few months ago, but they have since expired. Anyone know of anything? I know they are out there!

I already used my Expedia $100 off (from the Mastercard promo!)

I'd be happy to compile a list of hotels. Please PM me with contributions. (PM for the sake of keeping this thread from too much clutter. Wish FT had wiki posts!)

SAT-LAS airfare plus three nights at the Candlewood is $150 all-in with the 200IHG promotion and a Friday, 9/18 departure and Monday, 9/21 return.

Thanks for the tip, CalItalian.
