I suggest you look at www.mycheapvegas.com and the royal offer that someone posted earlier. Should have everything you need.

For 5 nights, you might want to book multiple reservations and then combine it when you check in to maximize bonuses. Just make sure you book under different names. If you combine during check in, you won't need to check out/in.

As for the $200 credit for MGM royal offer, I called in and it's $150. It's just a mistake on the front end. However, I'm sure if you take a screenshot, a supervisor will be able to honor it.

Love Vdara...100% no smoking and no casino. It's always quiet and clean - nice respite from the vices of Vegas haha. I like that it isn't cavernous and easy to find your room with bright common areas and natural light. The Vdara Suites, City Corner Suites, and up have full sized kitchens along with a BOSCH Washer and Dyer (free to use). I've done plenty of laundry there during extended stays due to conferences. If you want to hit Aria it's 3 min walk and The Cosmo is right there too.

Never been to Vegas before so I am looking for one of the Iconic places to stay for 2 nights. But what is going on this Sunday (Aug. 30th) that jacks up the rates? pretty much all days around are cheap but that Sunday night is always at least double the other dates.

Can anyone advise on where to stay and what to expect to pay? Looking for the MGM, Venetian, Cesars or Mandalay Bay. Ideally trying to stay under $150 a night (2 nights). Thanks for any help.

If you are willing to branch out a little, you can get Monte Carlo for about $36 per night (plus fee's), with $100 credit by using the RC link above.

that sounds great. we just got the cheapest room available at vdara, it should suit us just fine for the night.

I'm actually glad it's non-smoking and there's no casino...the stench of cigarettes can punch you in the chest in a lot of the hotels/casinos you walk into on the strip. when my wife and I got married in excalibur in 2013, the casino stunk like cigarettes, big time!

any recommendations for places to eat? I've been to Vegas 2X now, but to be honest, we never really branched out a ton to eat much more than pizza. we ate at margaritaville, guy's restaurant in the linq, some burger place inside new york-new york and maybe a few other random spots here and there. I think we might check out that wicked spoon inside cosmopolitan.

If Lotus of Siam isn't the best Thai restaurant in America, it's pretty close.

It's a $10-15 cab from the Strip, but dinner for two might run $50-60, and it'd be a steal at twice the price.

I also enjoy Hash House A Go-Go in the Linq, for a little hangover breakfast, and if you aren't from the Southwest, you'll probably need to try In-N-Out Burger.

^^^^Definitely call ahead for reservations at Lotus of Siam...in an ugly off-strip strip mall and looks are certainly deceiving but honestly aside from Pok Pok (Portland, OR and Brooklyn) best Thai I've experienced in the states! I have three work trips planned in the next two months in LAS and already called to make dinner plans just in case. Also a bonus - not expensive like Casino spots.

Jimmy Eats Vegas has some really great recommendations for food, as does Eating Las Vegas.

Chada Thai and Kabuto would be absolute musts in my book through.

I was just there and it was $150 at the MGM and I asked the amount at checkin. Mine said $200 when booking too. I am not going to fight it....raising too much of a stink over $50 is not in my best interest especially since these offers have been so generous to me.

I've had very good look with these offers pulling off the food/beverage charges automatically until the credit was exhausted. In my last stay on these offers I had to cue up both times for them to get the charges off... Hmm. At the Monte Carlo nothing came off automatically and only some of it came off at MGM Grand. It was no problem but it was a big hassle and just not all that pleasant to have to do. So Check your bill carefully.

Hi. I was looking at doing this with a 5 night stay at the Bellagio with the $100 credit. Quick question as it is only myself why would I book it under 2 different names if I made a 2 night reservation and then a separate 3 night reservation?

Would they not allow this? Could I combine them during check in as you suggested for a total of $200 credit for the 2+3 booking or does it get to messy?

Thanks in advance.

unfortunately the wife and I aren't massively into Asian cuisine and seafood - the wife won't eat any seafood whatsoever. we try to stick the the American/Italian/Mexican cuisines. seems to serve us both well.

we're staying at the linq for 3 nights before heading out to Arizona for a few days and coming back to Vegas for a night before flying home. I'm sure we'll check out Hash House.

Hi, I just checked into MGM Grand with the Royal Caribbean's $200 F&B credit. I mentioned when booking, it was $200 instead of the $150 she saw in the system. I was able to show her a screen shot of the $200 with the offer code. She stepped away to speak to a manger then returned, confirming I'd get the $200. She gave me a list of restaurants on property and said it's only good for these properties, not all MLife properties. Thought we can use it anywhere MLife... Can someone confirm please? Would like to explore other restaurants that are not at MGM.

Thanks!

Good to know!

I booked MGM for an upcoming stay and have taken screen shots with the Offer Code the booking confirmation as well as the offer code + credit amount.

Did it reimburse for other MLife properties? I had read that previous offers allowed for credit to cover any charges from any of the properties but it seems that the people checking in are being told its only at MGM (or wherever they are staying)

Need expert advice

Hi to all the experts in this Las Vegas forum. Not sure if this is the right place to post. But I am from London and thought there must be some better informed people here:

I am looking for a good deal Jan 9 - Jan 10 on the strip.
What would you recommend? Where shall I start looking?
All support much appreciated.
