As someone mentioned, their sister site is easy click travel.
Just now, I typed the same search parameters (city, dates, 2 people, 4 stars) Interesting results.
At LMT, the page results shows 3 hotels: all of them "Undercover".
At easyclicktravel, the page results show 3 hotels: 2 "Undercover" and the Hilton Princess.
Same hotels (since same descriptions) but different prices (by $5 to $16).
And why are "Undercover" hotels showing on easyclick's website - they're not running the $1promo there!
What is that about?

Easy Click has for quite some time offered both fully-identified-before-purchase as well as "undercover" hotels. Nothing new at all. I guess they just decided to make their LMT version 100% undercover, for whatever reason.
They now are doing a token type system, in which they let the first x amount of people in to the system to watch the video, where the others see the normal screen. Therefore, some will see the video, and some won't, and it's purely based on your browser session and the response from the web query. Chat windows are now ineffective.
I can't vouch for whether that's an accurate assessment, but it seems plausible.
This is exactly what they are doing. But it is just yet another example of this shady company changing the rules as they go and not being upfront with its customers/prospects. They are free to make the rules whatever they want, but come out and say what they are...don't mislead everyone like they've been doing. There was nothing about being randomly selected or only a certain amount of people being "let in" to the contest. The only cap ever mentioned was 500 BOOKINGS per session, which they haven't even come close to.
I now have "LMT" saved on my Favorites page under my Travel folder--with a big "DO NOT USE" beside the name so I can always be reminded of this.
Don't they just keep changing the t&C's because the want to avoid people using software/chatboxes to know when it starts. The fun of the competition was that there was some element of luck involved in it.
I'm not sure LMT ever believed some people would truly spend all day next to their computers....
Programs: Continental Platinum; Delta Gold; Hertz Five Star

No. It was a 15-minute period per day. Then split periods. All 10 days of the promotion. Then only days at their discretion. All hotels participate. Then they pull the good ones. It is a contest. No, it's not a contest. Yes, it is. No, it isn't. We will tax you. No, we won't.
happened at 8:27 MST for approximately 1 min 30 sec.
I saw no timer. The redirect happened when I refreshed on hotels for my city.
Bummer! I stayed up last night with my sister, trying to help her. We've been on together all morning and her computer crashed a few minutes before the timer. Too bad!
ETA: I am NOT going to make another booking to allow others to do so, but it gave me a full 5 minutes 30 seconds... looks like plenty of time!
Don't bother, it's been reported elsewhere the videos are coming in randomly... I have tried on 2 different occasions (via the chat) to get it when someone said they had it, didn't appear. There is discussion either it is a token they check on your PC or IP address that either will allow you to see it at all.
Got the video, had a full 5 min 40 sec. Decided not to book as the only available hotels were not hotels that I would stay in. ONly 2 4 star in NYC, One near La Guardia, yes technically it may be NYC, but come on and the other was the Excelsior. In DC the option was the Hilton, no thanks! Anyway, I am done with this promotion. Good Luck to all. To get the names of many of their hotels, check their other site easyclicktravel.com and compare descriptions.
