(I doubt that most people's reservations have a 33 day advance cancellation policy. I suspect that this is specific to the property that I selected.)
I hope you're right, sc flier. I don't know about others here, but for me a 33-day advance cancellation policy is definitely not "last minute".
BTW, thanks to all for sharing all the small details you can remember from your speedy reservation race. For those (most?) of us who missed it completely, your descriptions make it easier for us poky participants to visualize and "train" for the next round.
Call me a loser, but I am staying up until the timer starts. We are going on a cruise in March and would love to score a nice Miami hotel 2 nights before the cruise.

I was under the impression that the contest won't go Live if you are sleeping...so I'm thinking no earlier than 6am EST?

Hey, I was just wondering, does this also include foreign hotels in the listings, or just in the usa... or when they mean all hotels... do they mean.. ALL hotels listings for whereever you look up will be only $1?

Good, im trying today to nab One night at the Minneapolis Graves 601 Hotel (which normally is about $200-270 a night)the night before I fly to Europe for Spring Break, So I don't to wake up bright and early to take the Amtrak at 5am from Saint Cloud, as this is the only option available to me.
