I think safari has some issues with their code. IE isn't a viable option on a mac, and I haven't heard any positive reports from those using FF.
I successfully booked yesterday morning with FF on a mac. I actually had a firefox add-on 'UpdateScanner' beep for me when the deal started, and I used 'Fireform', another add-on, to autofill in all my info except my cc#, which I was ready to paste in from another file. After the first video played, I only had a little over 2 minutes to book, so I was glad I something to get the info entered in very quickly. Even with the autofill, I barely had enough time to complete the booking.
Also, only one 5-star hotel displayed once the deal started, which was annoying considering how incredibly many showed up before and after the promo, but free is free so I'm thrilled I get to go on my honeymoon now :-)
I was excited when I got the vids early this morning. After the first one I had about 3 minutes left (no way was this more than 4:30 mins total). Fortunately, I had practiced entering my data and cruised through with no problems. I reached the final confirmation page and entered the "anti-robot" code with 1 minute to spare. Then I waited for my confirmation code to appear..and waited... the damn thing froze there!!! And of course CS was no help at all.
Seems like today there have not been many reports of people getting videos or completing the booking process. Makes me wonder if they are going open up random spots this evening or if its essentially over (it does end tomorrow).
Anyone get lucky today so far?

I feel obliged to post my experience, but was reluctant to because I posted earlier in this thread that I was not going to pursue this promotion. Anyway, call me a hypocrite or whatever but my experience was unusual, so I thought it might help to share.
Also, I do not want to cause poor ellenface any more pain. I've been tracking you since the start and have been hoping every day for you to post a successful booking.
I have not been chatting or auto-refreshing or auto-filling or anything. Each night when I've been on the road this week, I've spent 20, maybe 30 minutes mindlessly navigating around LMT. Mostly searching hotels in different cities around the world and trying to figure out what the 'undercover' hotels are by googling the descriptions.
I never saw a video. I never saw a countdown clock.
But, when I searched hotels in a major Asian city with five letters in the name and back-to-back-to-back vowels last night, the results consistently -- and I tried probably ten times between Safari and FF -- returned a 5-star hotel with a $1 quote (actually, it was like 35 cents per night). This was the only hotel among the results that was priced at $1. The rest appeared to be priced normally. I figured I'd go ahead and try to book. Safari (which was the browser with less cache and cookies because I rarely use it) didn't work right. Clicking to book took me to the login screen, which took me to the enter info screen, which took me back to the login screen in an endless loop. So, I tried FF. I was able to replicate the exact search, with the same dollar result, and this time I was actually able to book. Total for 7 nights was 2 dollars and change. The whole thing probably took me at least 10 minutes, maybe closer to 15. Got an email confirmation.
I was curious to know two things -- if I could change the reservation, and what the cancellation policy is. So, I called LMT and they told me that the booking was, in fact, through the promo. (I didn't mention that I saw no videos, nor clock.) The agent told me that I could not make any changes, but that I could cancel up to 8 days before arrival with no penalty. If I tried to cancel after that, I would incur a penalty, and it might be the full rate for one night.
She also told me that I wouldn't be able to contact the hotel to confirm my reservation until a week or two before I arrived because my room was part of their 'block' and they don't add names to the rooms until the last minute.
I did the search again probably four or five times after I booked and the same $1 result came back. This was probably over a span of 30-45 minutes.
FWIW, I tried the same search tonight and no one dollar hotel anymore.
I suppose LMT could track me by the details I posted here and could ultimately cancel my room. I'm willing to take the risk, because there's a decent chance I won't be able to use it anyway. I hope maybe this might help someone else score during the last day of the promo. Like I said, all I did was keep searching and searching random cities I'd like to visit, and all of a sudden ... a one dollar hotel.
That certainly is quite interesting. I know I had read about some people who had found a hotel in a similar situation (except that i recall it being $0.85/night), but what is exceptional about this is that you had the access for a very long period of time. Perhaps there is a glitch in their system that caused this, much like the glitch that many are reporting that causes the timer to run out with a number of minutes left on it. However, I must say you are quite lucky and I am happy at least another person has been able to book a deeply discounted hotel.

Great story. I'm happy for you and hope it sticks. Doesn't seem out of the ordinary considering all the IT problems people have encountered.
I got the video and clock twice with ample time but experienced the exact same problem with safari that you did. Hopefully tonight is the night. Third time's a charm.
Anyone else thinking about pulling a late one today? Im thinking about it after the current trend of groups of people securing bookings overnight these past few days, but the idea of going to such riveting classes such as Linear Control Systems, Analog/Digital Communications, and an Electronics lab (im an Electrical Engineering major if you havent figured it out yet) after having been up since 730am today does not seem like the greatest idea I have had....
...On the other hand I could use the time to be productive and finish up lab reports, assignments, etc while checking for the magical video or some sort of glitch to come my way....

I gave up about two nights ago and decided to check out the boards and see how everyone is doing. I was hoping someone could give me a cliff note version as to what's been going on. Is it now random, and could happen at anytime for anyone? What's up with the cookies situation? I have a mac and use FF. Is that going to be an issue? What seems to be the best way to book now?
Thanks for all of your help. I appreciate everything everyone has shared in this forum!

Good luck to all.
What you described (random $1 hotels popping up) sounds more fun than the actual contest.
It popped up for me here in Orlando about 10 minutes ago with 4 minutes on the timer when it started. Ran for my wallet grabbed my credit card, watched the videos picked out my hotel (4* Sofitel Le Scribe Paris) for 2 nights next month and got through the booking page with about 1:30 left on the clock.
Im still shaking a bit, but I cant believe I finally got it! Just saved me around $200 off my spring break that I can put to better use!
If you are wondering what I had did, I was pretty much just clicking around in the hotel listings. For those who are trying to analyze, according to my the cookie for LMT I had around 34 page refreshes. Maybe that will help you out.
Good luck to all those still out there waiting for it to come through!
