Finally saw the video for the first time and was able to book 4 nights in Hong Kong at the Intercontinental Grand Stanford hotel!
Wow, that is the best win I've seen reported today,
although I suppose there are others.
Using Lastminute.com, I tried to reverse identify
which LMT HK listing was the IC, but the "more info"
on the one 5* at $179 was so skimpy I am still not sure.
Should I cancel my 4* in Rio and jump back in the game?
Nah.

.
I think it may have been mentioned in an earlier post but if you google easy click travel it is a similar format to LMT and gives you the name of the hotel and you can match their description with LMT's
Christopher Elliott has commented on the contest--excuse me, promotion or whatever it is currently called. Reader comments follow Elliott's in the following link. The last reader comment is interesting, especially in raising the issue of the type of browser used. Worth taking note of, though too soon to tell if the speculation is valid, I suppose.

That is interesting...
most of reader "Tina"'s summary
of the "new" flaws seem correct.
Her first point, i.e. 1.) People using firefox are no longer seeing videos
(which are required to view to get the deal)
For some reason it now seems to be I.e. only?
... if she is wrong it shouldn't be too long before
one of todays winners verifies they were on Firefox.
Meanwhile, I am switching back to IE
Tina does finally say the "new" system is so bad we
would be embarassed to tell friends about the deal....
Maybe not. I just called my parents to offer
guidance in looking for a HK freebie.
Some good quality wins today = good enough for me.
Lets not forget LMT site did squirrly stuff last week too:
told me "time as up" when clock showed time left.
Good Morning all, A question (or two). I spent all day monday and most of the night waiting for any chance. Never happened. Then someone posted that the contest was off, then on. Now I am looking and trying to figure out what is going on, since I couldn't be on yesterday (actually had to work). So, I have to work in three hours, am I wasting my time again or are people actually booking rooms? Thanks to all for your answers.
I just got a 5-minute timer at 9:00am EST. It was on my work computer that I had been using since this contest started, but I cleared out all of my cookies and temporary internet files this morning. Sure enough, just a few minutes later I got the video after doing a search. Of course, not one single hotel in Waikiki, Maui, or Kauai showed up at all during the $1 period. I had even done some advance research on some 3stars in Maui expecting they would still be there, but nothing showed up.
I guess I will give up on this promotion. I was not planning on taking that Hawaiian vacation until this promo came along.
So do you or don't you need to be signed in to your LMT account? I have been doing my searches NOT signed in, but have now cleared cookies and await the advice of our experts here...

That's a hell of an act, General.
Following the advice of an earlier posting this morning, I was not signed in. I had not seen anything on the screen indicating the $1 sale was on (i.e. the promos on the side listed as $1), but I probably just overlooked them. The video popped up for me when I randomly hit "search".
