Woo hoo! Just booked a $50-off hotel in Hong Kong for next week
Is it by HKG by chance? Novotel Citygate, like YT?
This is great timing - and great if anyone has a HKG layover and wants to visit the Citygate outlet.
Great reviews both here on the Hong Kong forum and on TA.
It's possible to get both this and the Christmas offer (effectively halving Citygate's rate with the normal hotelclub booking)

Unbelievable! If you would simply go to www.hotelclub.com and spend a minute or two LOOKING at their offers (pick a city you plan to visit, and/or a random city), you could SEE FOR YOURSELF what hotels they offer.
You had time to post your question, yet you DIDN'T have time to simply LOOK at their website?

Just to let you guys know I had used this deal back in September for a hotel in Spain. All went well with no problems whatsoever. The particular hotel didn't request my voucher and didn't have any problems with me having two one-night stays back-to-back.
Other than the wild Vegas deals, has anyone found a great hotel that, with this deal, it's worth making a special trip for very little money?
So far, I've only encountered deals that make sense because I'm going to that destination anyway, i.e. "airport hotels" and "priceline-like" rates. I'd love to find sub $50 deals (after taking the $50 off) at "destination" hotels.

Any recommendations? Thanks.
This one isn't a sub-$50 deal but a great hotel for the money. How about the 4* (5* on HotelClub) Le Meridian (former Park Hyatt) San Francisco is $119 so $69 with the code ($119 is the same as the advance purchase rate on the Starwood website). Priceline NYOP, at this time, can't beat that. The rate is good most nights now through 2/2009.
Weeknights (Sunday-Thursday nights) in June and July 2009 the 3* Caliente Tropics Hotel is $40 (so FREE) in Palm Springs. The hotel (a reclaimed 60's motor lodge) gets very good reviews on Tripadvisor and Expedia.
There are a number of hotels in Reno, NV., for free or nearly free with the code.
I came across a Hyatt Place in Phoenix on weekend nights for July and August 2009 for $69 before discount. Great rooms but it appears the pool sucks (former Amerisuites). The Pointe Resorts I've also seen for as low as $89 (room, not suite) before discount during June, July, August and early Sept. 2009. Also an Embassy Suites at 24th st. for $69 (gets poor reviews on Tripadvisor) before discount over the summer of 2009.
hotelclubs do offer better pricing on some hotels, just have to compare to other websites. Took me half a day to compare prices for hotels in Paris. Found this deal:
Citadines Saint Germain Des Pres Apart Hotel Paris
regular: $299-499, on most other websites
at hotelclubs: $192 a night - $50 = $142
There are others but the reviews on this from tripadvisor make this a standout. Now can't wait to go.
Please note that there is a provision about last minute bookings only being able to apply the commision from the 50.. That may be what the above poster is having diffaculty with.

Just a heads up to those who have voiced concern/discontent earlier in this thread regarding those who are partaking in multiple sign-ups.
I've checked the HotelClub membership guidelines thoroughly, and there seems to be no mention of a "1 account per person" rule or anything. So, as far as I can see, it is completely valid to do so (though not necessarily acting in the company's best interest).

FYI the other promo for $30 isn't working with this active promo. I had already received a $50 promo and when I posted in this other thread it WAS still working $50->80.
Not now. Thus I have requested the Mod kill the other thread.
It DID work until a couple of days ago, when I posted it.
IF you had taken up an earlier (now expired) member$ promo, then this Christmas promo may still work. Just a heads-up.
I am happy with hotelclub (& its ratestogo last minute service) and have used it since 2003.

The two promos have NEVER been stackable both with new accounts or old accounts where the $50 promo had been used.
