They seem to be systematically going from my oldest reservations to my newest and canceling them as they progress through some master list.
That's depressing.
Do you get any sort of email, or do you just have to go into your account and find out the bad news?
BTW, another poster mentioned a "non-cancellable" Hilton rate they have. I have one of those, too. It would seem pretty difficult for hotelclub to cancel these, no? How would they refund your money -- Hilton would have to be "nice" to them, I'd think.

These were all canceled via email and the emails have been coming in a natural progression from oldest to most recent bookings. I'm not checking any other accounts from bookings not yet canceled. Will do that if the emails stop coming.
I'm not completely positive, but maybe 2 of my bookings were "non-refundable" pre-pays, both with Sheraton. One was canceled so far. No monies credited yet to CCs. Will be checking over the next few days to make sure these get credited back.

They didn't batch cancel everything of mine, they just seem to keep popping up with another one every couple of hours or so. Like I said, someone seems to be doing this by hand, possibly matching/going off of a master list.
These are for different dates, different cities, worldwide, some credit cards used for multiple reservations, some CCs for just one, some back-to-back nights, some solo nights, HC account names mostly different, etc.
There's nowhere to hide. If your reservations stand you might be lucky, or you may just get a very unwelcome surprise when you arrive at your property.
Did you use your real name for each of your multiple accounts (I mean the ACCOUNT NAME - not the name the room is booked under)?

I guess the thing to do now whenever you have a hotelclub rez is to check your account a few days in advance and make sure the rez is still valid. Then double check on your day of arrival. I'd really hate to show up at a hotel and find my reservation cancelled, especially overseas.

I've invested so much money into my upcoming trips already that I've decided just to not care about if they are cancelled or not. I'm prepared to pay the full price of my hotel rooms if they indeed do not honor my bookings.

No problem for them, they cancelled reservations of the current "non-cancellable" Hilton rate.

Hah, in your dreams.
I just have decided I won't let the company ruin my day. I've calculated about $800 in out-of-pocket expenses if they end up not honoring my reservations. $800 is not worth my trip being ruined, especially when I'm spending thousands as it is. Sure, I'd like for my bookings to not be cancelled, but if they are, I'll try to manage somehow. There might be a lot of hostels in my future...

Different. I've used every long-lost relative I could think of, no Homer Simpsons in my fam.
All of the reservations canceled so far were made in November, early, then mid-december. They haven't gotten to my New Years eve rush purchases yet, but I estimate they are around the corner.

Hmm, maybe there is no rhyme or reason to these cancellations then in that case. Could just be luck of the draw.

Have not followed this thread for a while and I just need to book another night. Is the credit (foxtel) still working? Someone successfully booked recently? Also, is "not showing up" treated the same as "auto ancelled", meaning I need to pay for the cancellation charge of $15? thanks in advance

No, foxtel is long dead. The current state of the promotion can be found in the OP. Good luck.

I thought things were slowing down because I hadn't received any cancelation emails for a while, so I decided to enter the numbers of a few of the reservations I had left and got the HC confirmation page which said something like: "We have received your request to cancel, the hotel has been contacted...blah blah blah..."
For the first time these are some rooms that were not outright canceled in the natural progression, FIFO, and for 3 bookings I can still access the confirmation page and the voucher (but I'm not gonna hold my breath).
So my totals: 21 rooms booked. 13 canceled. 5 "in process" to cancel, supposedly at my request. 3 booked, but confidence is low.
One of the remaining bookings is with a CC I used for 3 or 4 of the canceled bookings.
I think the "in process" cancellations were pre-paid, non-refundables, so maybe HC is having a problem getting their money back and is therefore holding up the refund and will maybe try and say that I canceled, not them.
