Aware of this thread just before offer expired, I signed up just to find overpriced rooms. Even the welcome bonus of 20 USD did not compensate for the difference. Monday Feb 8had LHR hotels Sheraton Skyline at 133£ and Hilton LHR at 155£. Hotel websites had, also prepaid, rates of 115£ and 135£. Even the future bonus of 5/6 £ added post-stay, did not make up. Thanks, but no thanks!

I just entered the second booking and it went through for a nice Hilton property in London. 40$ total
I think thats not to beat !
The other one under my gf's name was for the Queen Mary Hotel in Long Beach and a nice stay as well... always wanted to spend a night there !
This is a non-opaque Orbitz Booking, I entered my Hilton Gold # into the comment line. Do you folks recommend I call the hotel to reconfirm the HH info ? I should be eligible for Gold Benefits at least.

Has anyone else had their prepaid reservations cancelled by hotelclub after
confirmation. I have a booking this Sat and I dont want the hassle at the hotel if they don't accept the voucher. I also have 4 more bookings middle of Feb.

The prices on hotelclub are tax included. Usually on the hotel websites, it's not. Most time the difference is the tax.
System won't allow me to complete my booking. Keeps instructing me to Enter my State/County/Province even though I have already done so. Any ideas?
This happened to me as well. You need change the country from "united kingdom" on previous page (at the bottom) to "united states". Then everything will be ok.
Please don't call hotelclub! I've used 5 bookings and have had no problems... Number 6 on Friday. Family and friends have used around 15 more nights and nobody has mentioned any problems. I have many bookings next year and I am really hoping that they work.
Hotelclub is your friend, and let's just say that christmas shopping was really easy this year.
Thanks roadtripman and calitalian.
ps. I'm hoping to book my reservations by the end of January or sooner. However if hotelclub doesn't delete my accounts and I have some remaining, I can share.

Yes, in fact a few of my friends' reservations were cancelled after credit card had been charged and voucher issued. So it is sometimes a hit or miss thing.

Your friends' cases should make many people here feeling panic, inclusive of me.
It seems to me that your credit card denied the charge. May I ask which country of the credit card are you using?

Please see below for the mail they have sent. I replied to them on the 23rd when I received the first cancellation that was not initiated though me, no answer so for...
You might think - this guy has burned through his card... well, I just checked into the Peninsula Manila paying with the exact same card - I suspect that's the reason why I am not getting a response as it's a just a sorry excuse. No-one had contacted me (the card holder they refer to nor even the card issuing bank) prior to these cancellations as well - it's very bad business practice!
I understand that they gave away credit to their reservation system and we should be grateful for that - and I was til now.
However, it enrages me when people are not standing to their word - and people taking advantage of this offer have not violated any conditions that were set out by them and could have easily been modified to exclude multiple accounts which would have refrained me from booking through them.
