I've stayed at hotels the last 2 nights. Both a Radisson and a Ramada have not asked for the 'coupon' (though I've had them printed out) and both have given me free upgrades!

All you have to pay is taxes/fees. Economy through Full Size. Not available at all locations or at all times. Valid Thursday after noon thru Monday (must pick up by Sunday 12 noon).

Be sure to bring a printout of the offer just in case you have trouble.

I don't think this is one where you could get more than that since they will be able to track by your drivers license. The only way around getting more days is if you are going with friends, family, spouse, etc. You could book back-to-back rentals but you will have to get a new vehicle every 24 hours.

Credit goes to hhbean on SlickDeals.net from what I can tell. It's posted on other coupon boards but that seems to be the person who deserves that credit. Still not posted in the FT Hertz thread which I'm going to do now.
Great Offer -- In reading the T&C it mentions that it can only be used "one redemption per customer per month" -- makes it even better. (Although I tried some dummy bookings and was turned down each time, even though I was within the rules! I'll keep trying.)

You can book using a non-valid credit card. Hotelclub doesn't authorize the credit card if there is no amount for them to debit.

Good suggestion. "I've heard" this also works for BRG claims, especially when it is an advance purchase situation.

I already tried this, but every time it says the information I've entered is not valid. Could you give me an example - maybe send me a PM - of what I have to enter?
The problem is that I will get a credit card in January, maybe February, but my Member $ are only valid until December 31st.

As other people have said, you can also use a prepaid Visa or Mastercard gift card. Most are available for as low as $3.95 plus the amount you load onto the card. Some banks even offer prepaid gift cards for free for their members.

I always enter a "valid" credit card number, for example of a card that has expired and then make up an expiry date in the future and a CCV code. Or I use the credit card details of a card that is blocked (due to cancellation or abuse).

I would expect no less.

I have just noticed that some have hotels on hotelcub have better rates on in the lastminute section, but when I tried to book them, the system tells me it`s on maintenance. Anybody with better experience with their last minute offers? And the most important question - can I use my membership dollars to pay for lastminute room?
Thanks in advance!

You can use member dollars for the down payment, but you need to pay the balance at the hotel. The down payment is 10% or so.

Thanks, but in reality it means that I am better off using all my membership dollars at the regular rate comparing to their 10% usage with the last minute rates.
Great offer, anyway!

Booking process worked fine with a automatically generated valid credit card number. Let's hope they are not going to check the credit card details ;-)

need to cancel one of mine - travel plans changed
On the cancellation page it says what you see in italics below. So which is it, will I be charged $15 or not?

Note: a cancellation fee may be charged to you as shown below:

1) Cancellation fee of USD 15 if you cancel after the confirmation voucher has been issued.

2) Non Smoking Room with 2 Double Beds - Double/Twin: CHANGE OR XNL 24HR PRIOR TO ARVL BY 4P The cancellation fee of USD 15 will NOT be charged in this case.

I have recieved the voucher. But I don't understand #2

Don't even think about pushing that cancel button - call the hotel and simply tell them you're not coming. They won't charge you. HotelClub may never find out. Who knows. Not knowing is certainly better than pressing that cancel button and allowing them to ding you for the $15.
