I have two adults and two children (under 12 years old).
Do I have to book a quad room or can I book a double room? For a double, two double beds are showing, same for a quad but the quad price is much higher. ( Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista Orlando, Jan 3 2009)
I am hoping that the quad rate is based on 4 ADULTS and that I can book a double rate room.

Any thoughts would be really appreciated.
Thank you
I've noticed that some places on hotelclub have the same rate for 4 as 2, and some charge more.
I think if you're staying at a chain hotel in the US where kids stay free, it's pretty safe to just book the 2 adult rate. If you want to feel extra safe, just have one adult check everyone in and don't mention it. I would not pay them for quad occupancy in such a situation.
I suspect the failure to make this all clear stems from the foreign nature of the site. Overseas, there's often a charge for kids.

What kind of room in London sells for only $49.75?
I'm already a member of Hotel Club, so it doesn't want to give me a $50 discount. (I realize I could probably work around this, however.... )
"As this is a special promotion 50 Member Dollars will expire on 30 November 2008, otherwise all of the standard terms and conditions apply."
At the account summary:
"Member Dollars Valid Until: 16-Nov-2010"
Will the $50 expire November 30, 2008?
I've done their promos before and the account summary always lists a date 1 year in the future BUT It will disappear on November 30, 2008. Remember, this is an Australian based website so plan your booking time accordingly if you are elsewhere in the world (like the United States) if you plan on waiting until the last day to book.
HotelClub is operated by Australian registered HotelClub, a wholly owned subsidiary of Orbitz Worldwide Inc (NSYE: OWW). www.hotelclub.com/about.asp Once again, don't forget you will be charged an international credit card fee (typically 3-4%) on whatever you charge on your debit or credit card. On a $52 after promo credit card charge, I was charged an additional $1.56.

Thanks. I checked some hotels (4* and 5*) in different locations (Miami, Key West, Orlando, Argentina, Chile). When the price was low, the hotels are lousy according to TripAdviser.
Not sure what that has to do with the price of tea in China... What difference does ownership make in whether or not I get points?
You're asking if you get points or not. HotelClub is just like Orbitz, Travelocity or Expedia. If your hotel chain frequent guest program does not give points when booked through any of those third party booking services, you won't get them from booking a HotelClub reservation.
And, again, HotelClub is owned by Orbitz. If your reservation is for the United States, it gets booked through Orbitz not HotelClub.

This does not follow from being owned by Orbitz.
FYI: I made a reservation at a Crowne Plaza and the email specifically says the rate does not get points. I then booked, for giggles, the same exact hotel on orbitz.com and the email says no such thing.

I think you are confused about the offerings of various booking agents. It doesn't matter who does the booking; it matters what rate type is booked.
