I clicked on the link for a copy of my invoice and it shows that my credit card was charged USD$49.37. Did I do something wrong?

So, I logged in again and checked my members' dollar balance and it shows $0.63 left so $49.37 of my members' dollars must have been used. I hope I didn't get charged anything even though my invoice shows USD 49.37 as being charged.

On my invoices, it shows "MRC" being charged the $45-ish, and my credit card isn't even on the reciept. It says "member dollars" fairly clearly.

Use a prepaid visa - no risk involved.

I went to the /VIRGIN link and only got one. After that, no matter how I changed my name and email address, I couldn't get registered - the site would direct me to the homepage of hotelclub but no success in registration. Maybe they now monitor the IP address?

Did you logout of your account? If that doesn't work, then delete your cookies.

This is called a "cookie block" and its one of the easiest things to get around. They basically write in a cookie on your computer that you registered. All you have to do is clear that cookie and that command disappears. Then, you can register as many times as you want. Have fun.

As roadtripman posted before, you need to clear the cookies or use another laptop to register another account.

Hmm - just clear your cookies. Another laptop seems silly.

Advanced technology is definitely not a part of that website, that's for sure.

Vouchers? I mean come on...

Yes, it's a bit medieval!

Do hotels actually care about the vouchers?

I mean they already have a prepaid reservation in place, don't they?

Overseas, they seem to want their "voucher". I remember a prepaid Orbitz reservation last year in Peru, the hotel bugged me for days to send them the "voucher". Finally, I printed it off of Orbitz and gave it to them.

My invoice says Payment Method = "Member Account" Number = "MRC" so maybe I am okay then

Thanks

Not really, in most cases, clearing the cookies would do the trick. However, one day, no matter how many times I cleared the cookies, deleted history and deleted temporary files, it just wouldn't let me register another account. I have registered for more nine accounts before, so i knew what I was doing.

Anyway, I have couple laptops, so I used another laptop and voila, it worked again. So, using another laptop is not that silly in some instances.

8/9 instances, yes. One instance, no.

been watching this deal for a while and thank you to OP!
We booked westin aruba using SPG points for next feb and part of me has been thinking of using the virgin version of this promo (thanks to that poster too!) to book one night (valued at like $600+) with multi-sign ups of this promo instead of forking over 12k spg points. I dunno if I will and so part of me wishes I had to stay somewhere just to use it! But what a great find for those who do use. We have no other plans to travel where a hotel stay will be needed next year at all other than a pre-paid ski trip I'm taking to Utah in April.

That said I actually dunno if I even CAN participate and somehow that feels sooo... wrong (well the godz of travel and mylez will see I did not 'take' this time and may be happy with me on my next plight as a result)

Oh well, enjoy it all while you can! I love to see such deals!

Incidentally, if anyone IS having probs with cookies, a great free and reliable web tool called CCLEANER can be downloaded and installed in your PC and it will run a fast and easy and very complete clean on your system which clears EVERYTHING. I use it weekly.

Google it and good luck.

...and forgive me, but after reading nearly everything in this thread I have been unable to confirm if one can apply all vouchers from multiple sign ups to one night of a hotel. ie, if my room would be $600 a night, could I get 12 $50s applied to that one night?

(I would save 12,000 SPG points and simply rebook so that I stay some nights on points and some on money with these vouchers to make it free. PS: the room we booked did not have a miles+money offer in its stay so it's either points or money to book nights)
