[EXPIRED] NYC TRYP Times Square South - $99

https://gc.sabrehospitality.com/rez....omo=9900000012

From $99 just about every day.

Decent reviews in a good enough location.

Non refundable though.

Is the "corporate/promotion code" that is used for public use?

NYC TRYP Times Square South - $99

Looks to be a great deal, and I am heading to NYC so that's good, but I'm afraid if too many of us book with the code, they will start asking for business cards...

As stated above it was from their facebook page. I also jumped on it.

The rate does make me scratch my head, clearly not a mistake, way cheap for that property, even lower than any sale rates in the past few years.

Could the property be up for sale, being turned in to a homeless shelter? No idea.

Rate was too good not to share here.

Their regular rate is $120, so not much of a deal anyway.

If you look to June, September and into the xmas season the $99 rate continues. That is not anywhere near their normal rate for those times. Even NYE is at $99. For any hotel in NYC that is cheap, this is better than any hotel. A solid, modern 3 star.

My worry would be that they were having cashflow issues and needed to raise liquid capital quickly. Unlikely that this is the case (hotels in NYC must do pretty well) but it does seem to be very cheap and not an error.

Definitely my thought too. I booked, but I can afford to lose the cash if it all goes pear shaped.

They may have had certain debt covenants that they feared violating, but I would assume that my credit card-issuer would almost certainly refund me the money if the hotel were to end up in a big mess of a situation that messed up my ability to stay there. That said, I'm booking within 60 days, where possible.

Booked a night for late Nov at the special rate about 4 hours ago. Now the rate has gone and is showing $259 a night.

This was short lived. I tried at 7 am this morning and couldn't find any $99 rates that are not January of February
