Guys, nobody really reads the frickin' blogs. It was likely Slickdeals that killed this.

While I find the vitriolic anti-blogger sentiment on Flyertalk contemptible.....in this case they may have been responsible for the deals death.

It was definitely not Slickdeals. As you can see from the link, the Expedia promo got almost zero traction over there:

Point being: Travel deals will come and go but post them after you get what you want to share the wealth with the community

Do you guys think they will honor those reservations? Deal was spread so widely that I rather doubt it, cost for Expedia must be in 7 figures easily, maybe even 8 - I don't expect them to willingly absorb it.

100,000 bookings in a day? I really doubt it. It was quite short-lived.

If things go south, the folks in the US could get away with it, but all NON-US bookings effectively violated their T&Cs. "This offer is from Expedia.com and is valid for Expedia.com U.S. customers only."

This means just you have to be a customer of the expedia.cim US site, in my understanding.
But you can book anywhere in the world from there.
