I got in on a couple hotel deals listed on flyertalk some they honor ($10 a night at LAX hotel), they counter (reduced rate), or they come back and say it was an error and they will cancel unless you confirm the regular rate.
You never really know.

sadly not true. The DOT has wiggled out of a lot of tickets that should have been covered lately.
Do not book tickets and automatically assume that the DOT will fix it for you if the airline does not.
DOT has discretion over what they enforce and what not.
SPG is horrible for honoring low rates. They publish a rate, then change their mind and make you feel like a criminal in the process. If this was SPG I would say there is no way in hell that this well stay.
I have positive images of OMNI so I hope they have a better moral character than the scumbags at SPG and will honor the rates they publish.

Yeah, hoping this one gets through because there can't be too many bookings (like the hyatt and spg errors). Hell, I don't think any bloggers picked up on this before it closed up.
