Marriott is definitely the way to go but also possibly an opportunity for free orbucks if there are cancellations.

No, you have to click on packages to see the price. It won't show up on flexible search.

What is the past precedent from marriott or orbitz when having reserved mistake rates? Honor rates? Cancel and offer a courtesy? I think I have seen marriott offer vouchers in the past, $25-$50? But can't recall exactly. Wonder if I should book a handful of weekends for the sake of gaining easy orbucks/mariott rewards etc.

To generalize: both usually either honor or provide some very limited compensation. It can be a hassle however.

You aren't going to get a voucher for every booking you make...you'll get a $25 voucher at the most. Not really worth the hassle if you ask me.

Hrm. The cheapest I'm seeing at this point is $89. I don't see it in packages, but I'm unfamiliar with the site, so may not be looking in the right place, assuming it's still available.

It's still on from $10 on the Marriott website.

I'm looking at it now from this link...

https://www.marriott.com/reservation/rateListMenu.mi

...but don't know if it will take you directly there.

It is an amazing find with the MegaBonus...

Wish I could use it.

The Megabonus only goes until April 30th, so far as I can see...
