SPG had grandiose plans for Vegas, all of which fizzled out. Right around 2008, actually, just like most of the rest of the Nevada economy.

PH was great for Starwood Plats. The Westin, not so much. Dont expect a room upgrade or anything.
That being said, for a non-strip hotel this is where I stay:
1 - You get Status/Points credits
2 - You can find deals when the other hotels have high rates, esp during conventions.
3 - I am not a fan of huge casino hotels. This place is just small enough to enjoy.
4 - It is close enough to where I need to go.
If I were staying in Vegas during this time I would take this rate.

right now there is a prepaid rate for $99.00 for this hotel well into 2013. Vegas.com has it for $159.01 on weekends... using their BRG you can get it for $38.99 plus taxes and the resort charge. The down side is no points for the stay... just a heads up if folks are seriously looking to book this hotel. Either way not bad at all for a Friday/Saturday night in Vegas...
