(Expired) Hotel Pineta**** Rome $16/nt (HotelClub/Orbitz)

Just on a whim, I took a look at Nov. 18-25 in Rome, for 1 person.
The Pineta Palace (not my preferred location, but anyway), comes up for 120 Euros total for the 5 nights. It says book 5 nights, and stay one free, but what seems to happen is that you get 5 nights free, and pay for 2.

This might be worth experimenting with.

It's still showing in search results for me for the dates I originally posted. I've gotten all the way to the place where you enter your name, but I haven't tried beyond that.

Looks like this is also bookable on Orbitz. It's buy 1 night, get (up to) 4 free, so the lowest price ($16+ per night) will be available when booking 5 nights or multiples thereof.

I'll update the thread title to reflect that this is also available on Orbitz.

I can take Pineta Nov 25-30 right up to CC entry, $121 total.
And sure enough, exactly the same on Orbitz.

I am contemplating booking a whole month or something... Have not been to the hotel itself but stayed in that area before and it's quite OK. It is not walking distance to downtown.
