well, since US beef was banned at the time, they had to make do with what they could.

Agreed that NZ beef is just not on par with US beef. It's too dry and tasteless.

Ruth Chris' atmosphere was great. It was extremely easy to get to via the MTR. The steaks themselves were great, a tad bit pricey. Overall, this is probably the best US steakhouse in HK =]
