There are a lot of hotels in the $125 to $150 range (current prices, varies from season to season of course) that are good enough - especially for an overnight stay.
The Salisbury (the YMCA building) has a pretty nice view and has the added benefit of being right next to The Peninsula. Every cab driver will know where The Peninsula is, so if they don't know the YMCA building is you can just tell them to go to The Peninsula.
But for an overnight stay don't over think it.
If you are going out to party that night then find something close to where you want to end the night (TST, Wan Chai, LKF, etc).

Travel from HKIA to IC HK
I have a layover and plan to stay at the IC-HK. I have never been to KH so wondering about how easy is the transportation by rail from the airport to the hotel? What do you find as the easiest mode to get from one to the other?

1. Hotel car
2a. Taxi
2b. Airport Express then taxi
The others not worth considering if one's staying at the IC.
