Anyone run into trouble trimming a 6 night award down to 5 when award nights are no longer available? Does Hilton require the whole stay to be cancelled and rebooked?

I would call an agent to manually drop one night from a stay. Should not be a problem to an informed agent.

Was lucky enough and saw another standard award day available this morning which worked perfectly with the dates of my existing reservation. Going for 6 nights in March and will be looking to upgrade my room in the next weeks/months.

I received a couple messages asking about how I managed to find standard award availability - I've been checking the flexible days calendar twice or so per day for the past 3 weeks. I don't know when Hilton releases standard award rooms but in both of my cases I have found availability in the morning before 11am EST.

For a thread that has been dormant for a month, must be quite a few lurkers .

I have five nights booked in November. Haven't even looked at flights yet (was hoping to avoid an overnight stay in Papeet but not sure if flights to PPT has been changed or canceled because of COVID). With so much uncertainty, would it better to try to rebook for 2022?

I think things will be more normal by November. But could still be un-certain. If you are wanting more “firm” plans I would move to 2022. But there are people planning on going in May so YMMV.

I just found some saver in August and feel things will be alright by then. Getting my first vaccine this week and have been traveling throughout the whole pandemic. Nov should be good to go but who really knows.

Just grabbed 5 nights in early June...odds are low that this will actually happen as borders are still closed but got my fingers crossed!

Enjoy! I just turned those it. Can’t go out of the country due to my Mom’s medical situation. I hope you’ll be able to take it. 5 days in Moorea opened too!
