I have a really basic question, which I think I know the answer to but really just wanted to check before I book.
Given that the Exec Lounge is in the Suites section (which I believe is away from the main hotel?), if I book the cheapest normal room type as a Diamond will I still be given Exec Lounge access?
If yes, is there any other advantage in booking a Suite rather than a cheap room?
Thanks

Sorry, my browser refuses to quote, but reply to seat1C's question:
Diamonds are welcome to use "Lounge" for breakfast (actually Rin restaurant, ground floor below lounge) and Happy Hour in the lounge proper, as well as access throughout the day for coffee and soft drinks etc.
The lounge is a little set apart from the rest of the hotel but not a trek, in fact I always enjoyed the walk. FYI I was once upgraded to Conrad Suite and once to Resort Suite, enjoyed both. Answer to your last question - just book regular room.

Completely agree with poster above.
1. Yes
2. No
in fact, a suite in the main section means you may use the lounge in the lobby too, which suites guests sometimes don't know about. It's where they send you if you have kids but the food is different, sometimes better.

Need to book a hotel in Bali for October - maybe for 2 weeks. We are not interested in sitting on a beach all day long!
The Conrad is pretty cheap then plus they have a $50 credit per night! The Hilton is 25% dearer.
A few questions if I may....
Anyone know what the $50 can be spent on each day?
As a Diamond do we get breakfast?
Anyone know what weather we might get in early to mid October?
Can one easily get a driver to take you around Bali? Is this a reasonable price?
Is it best to just book the basic room or does one need to book a slightly better room?
Thanks for any tips anyone can give me for our first visit to Bali.

Conrad Pool Villa
Gonna be staying there 18~22 Oct. Saw that there seems to be a new room type.
Conrad Pool Villa. Don't remember seeing it when I past stayed there last year May.
Anybody stayed at this new room type before?

These are the newest rooms in the resort, unlikely anyone has stayed in them as the construction finished only recently (few months).
I didn't ever realise they were listed yet, very keen to try them out though!
they are opposite the suites and suites pool, to give an indication of the location.
and tithe poster above that, $50 credit is for F and B and Spa, among other things, and of couse you get breakfast- choice of both. Have a read a few posts back to learn more about the benefits of lounge access/suites area

It's tiny, much smaller than a Conrad Suite. No desk, no room for rollaway. The staff say only suitable for honeymooners.

I'm not sure if it'll be smaller as from their website the Conrad suites are 110 or 120sqm whereas the Conrad Pool Villa is 235sqm. Nearly twice the size.
Unless all the extra space went to the lawn.

Website says 62sqm. The 235sqm includes garden space. Indoor space feels cramped. If you bring a laptop, you will have to use it on your lap as there is no desk.

Room Advice
Hi All
Thanks for all reviews and tips, been great help. Still unsure what best to book
Basically looking for nice quiet room. Diamond HH. Could use points and cash or straight cash.
Cant decide book Lagoon Room, and wait for suite upgrade or book suite.
Or really splash out and just book villa but price is a lot higher
Any thoughts would be welcome
Gavin

If you really want to experience a villa, try the ones at the Hilton Bali Resort - much nicer than the Conrad. Plus, the Villa Lounge has better offerings than the Exec Lounge at the Hilton. I would say the Villa Lounge is as nice as the Conrad Lounge. As for the staff, both are wonderful.

Is anyone staying here this week? I made a res on Hotels.com for 7/26 and need to cancel. Hotels.com won't let me cancel, they are saying they called the hotel directly and the hotel refuses to cancel. I only paid $60, does anyone want the room?
