Hilton Jaipur
On arrival, as is the norm at many hotels in India, our car was visually inspected before we were allowed to drive into the hotel compound. At the entrance to the lobby, our bags were x-ray scanned and we had to go through metal detectors.
I asked the staff in the lobby if it was possible to check-in in the Executive Lounge and was told that check-in was only possible at the front desk.
At check-in, the front desk associate wasn’t particularly welcoming or friendly. In accordance with government regulations, our passport biodata and visa pages were scanned. I enquired about the possibility for a room or suite upgrade as a Diamond member, and was told that the hotel was fully booked that evening, so we were allocated a standard twin room.

Room
Our room (standard twin guest room) was clean and comfortable. The size was adequate.
There was no welcome letter or amenity.
As I noted on another thread, the ‘premium’ wi-fi connection (complimentary access as an HHonors Diamond member) was painfully slow.

View from the room:
In Hilton Jaipur, odd-numbered rooms are standard rooms, whilst even-numbered rooms have a view of the Aravalli Range. The 8th and 9th floors are the Executive floors.
The hotel's website has useful photos and 3D floorplans for the King Suite and Deluxe Room (the highest room category, which includes a terrace, as well as access to the Executive Lounge).
Executive Lounge
The Executive Lounge is situated on the 9th floor. As mentioned above, it is not possible to check-in or check-out in the Executive Lounge at Hilton Jaipur.

View of Jaipur and the Aravalli Range from the Executive Lounge:
There was a selection of drinks and small bites available during Happy Hour (6 to 8pm). Hot food included spiced fish, spiced chicken, rice balls and beetroot kebab. We enjoyed the Indian wines (Fratelli Classic Merlot and Fratelli Sauvignon Blanc) which were served.
As the Executive Lounge is not very big, by 6:20pm it was completely packed (there were around 25 people). If you want to go for Happy Hour, I would suggest arriving by 6pm.
Photos of the Happy Hour food and drinks:
Breakfast is served in the Lounge from 7 to 10 am (until 11am during the weekend). The breakfast buffet included fruit juice, pastries/bread, hot food, cereal, cold cuts/cheese and fresh fruit. A coffee machine was available.
Photo of part of the breakfast buffet:
Although the sign at the entrance of the Lounge says that the opening hours are from 6am to 8pm, when I went to the Lounge just before 7am it was still locked, and a member of staff came to unlock the entrance at around 7:05am.
The staff in the Executive Lounge were not particularly friendly and welcoming. They also chatted among themselves quite loudly.
Breakfast in Aurum
A more comprehensive breakfast buffet is available in the Aurum restaurant on the ground floor. It was very busy as there were many tour groups from China, Japan, Europe and Latin America (I took the photos below after they had left). The service here was better than in the Executive Lounge (the staff were welcoming and friendly, proactively asked if we wanted tea/coffee and cleared plates quickly). There was a decent selection of Indian, Oriental and Western cooked and continental food items. Eggs were made to order.
Facilities
There is an outdoor swimming pool, gym and spa in the hotel. However, during our stay, we did not have the opportunity to use these facilities.
Overall
I felt that there was little recognition for HHonors Diamond members (no room/suite upgrade, no welcome letter and no welcome amenity). Other weaknesses include wifi (very slow) and the Executive Lounge (no facility for check-in/check-out there, average service and very small size). Our standard guest room was, however, clean and comfortable and the food in Aurum was acceptable. On the whole, I am not rushing to return to Hilton Jaipur and would consider other alternatives.
--welcomed as HHonors Gold
--given an upgrade to a corner suite
--everyone seems to go out of their way to be friendly
--there was a welcome card (with my name on it), and a plate with some dessert stuff and a few boxes of macaroons. When I ordered room service, they also brought a fruit plate.
--the bed had, "welcome to Hilton," written on it with some sort of grass and there were towels arranged in the shape of an elephant.
(I'll have to remember to upload some photos)
I had some problem with the tv, called down and I technician was in the room within 5 minutes and fixed it. I also asked him to look at the a/c, and he made sure it was all set properly.
The only thing lacking...no one even mentioned the lounge. I ended up ordering some room service around 9:30pm, so not sure if the lounge was even still open.
I am looking forward to breakfast in the atrium restaurant, which they did mention.
Location...with anything in India, it all depends on traffic. And unless you're traveling early morning or late at night, there will be plenty of traffic. Google maps estimates 15 min between the Hilton and City Palace, without traffic. I'd say 30 min is more realistic.
I came here directly from Amber Fort on a Sat night around 6pm and it took 45-60 min.

We had room service one night and my husband claims that the Hilton Jaipur makes the best dal makhani in all of India. Try it!
I'm quite surprised that this thread is so quiet. I thought Jaipur was one place many tourists would visit while in India.
Very pleased with this stay.
We made Diamond just now. When we arrived from the Airport, the General Manager was already awaiting us and greeted us. One staff member then escorted us directly to the top floor suite for the check in formalities. The check in included a few welcomes and welcome drinks.
Later, after we had spent a couple of hours outside the room, we went back and found another welcome letter and some sweets.
The room is indeed very nice, and the staff are amazing.
The evening spread in the lounge is amazing and the service is very personalised.

Edit:-
When I checked online a couple of suites were available I called again they gave me one suite but my other colleague was still denied. He also had Diamond status

Hv booked here for 3 nights (award stay, 20k points per night). Hope we get upgraded
During online booking, it only allowed to me book 3 persons in standard award. We are 3 adults , 1 kid (8yrs) and it shows premium room award (97k/night) for that. I presently booked for 3 adults and their website also states (2 kids under 12 stay free). I assume it should be fine? Any experience appreciated.
Thx,

Thx,
Warm welcome, nice chilled lobby
Cold drinks delivered to room upon arrival
Water bottles galore and restocked daily - 8-10 at a time
fridge and nice iron in room
wonderful shower pressure (rain head or angle)
Responsive AC
Good WiFi for browsing. Plenty of TV channels and a 50-55” ish TV
Breakfast buffet in the restaurant - OMG. Ice cream station at breakfast? My new standard.
Excellent made to order dishes including S Indian (which is a rarity).
They mark your table as Diamond and prioritize it
My last morning the staff and head chef presented me a cake and we took photos
The variety of Indian and western food (and some East Asian) is vast, though definitely skews vegetarian friendly
Everything labeled vegetarian or vegan or non-vegetarian
Desert plate welcome in the room
Lounge well appointed. Hours are a bit limited. Food was good
Housekeeping 10/10 - after a long hot dusty day touring it’s so wonderful to return to
$90/night 🤯
Rooms are same as depicted in the OP
Location is fine but no walking about - need to drive anywhere
No major room upgrade but I had requested connecting rooms so that is understandable.
Easy to recommend. And the city is beautiful.
Pros:
- Squeaky clean and room and common areas in great condition
- Great housekeeping, and more water bottles than I knew what to do with
- Room service was quick and delicious with large portions when I needed some late dinner one night
- Staff I interacted with were always very pleasant
- Standard rooms pretty large with great shower and bathtub
- Gym surprisingly reasonably equipped
Cons:
- Diamond status mentioned in passing at checkin but no upgrade whatsoever from standard room and no real recognition otherwise
- Only made it to breakfast once and it was pure pandemonium despite not being "rush hour", took ages to be shown to a dirty table which they started but never finished clearing. Food was fine with decent variety (but well short of the quality and spread of e.g. SE Asia Hiltons).
- Executive lounge only open for happy hour (6-8pm), food was great the first time I went, but the second time it was so overrun I gave up
- Pool area closed for a private party the one occasion I wanted to go, and no other outside public spaces
- Location not really walkable to anything, but not a big deal - Uber is efficient and cheap anyway
Also, most bizarrely, I had the weirdest sense of déjà vu - I'm pretty sure the bathroom and to some extent the entire room was a carbon copy of another hotel I stayed at a few years ago, from the layout to the fixtures to the giant-window-with-blind (the Novotel BKK Airport unless I misremember) - maybe they got their designs from the same cookie cutter hotel room interior designer
