Yeah, I'll stick to stuffing my face off the HGI buffet. Personal preference.

This. +1

Parents made the mistake of heading out at around 9am on Saturday morning. Ended up getting bagels from the deli around the corner. They really need to have expanded seating on weekends.

I believe the Conrad Cairo also has a casino.

Yes Cairo and Macau would totally make sense for a casino. I'm out of touch as I wasn't even aware those cities had Conrads. I've stayed twice in the past at the Nile Hilton and it has a casino.

While it's true that Conrad New York was formerly an Embassy Suites, the only thing the new hotel shares with the old is an all-suites configuration. The guestrooms, lobby, and restaurant/bar are miles beyond those you'd find in an Embassy Suites. The physical plant is surely among Hilton's best in New York, even if location and HHonors benefits might be better elsewhere.

Fresh Baked Pastry Basket - Vermont creamery butter & preserves

Housemade Almond and Quinoa Granola - Organic Greek yogurt & berries

Market fresh fruit & berries

Steel cut oatmeal - warm fruit compote, agave nector

Bruchetta scrambled eggs - vine ripen heirloom tomatoes, local mozzarella, pesto
When I last stayed in November, each breakfast voucher could be redeemed for an item on the HHonors menu (with coffee/tea and juice) or $20. Including beverages, the HHonors selections generally exceeded $20.

Will be there in 3 weeks; will post impressions and pics.

What are people's thoughts on the best Conrad, whatever you're after?
Just stayed at the St. James. Worst of any Conrad in which I've stayed. Problems with room were never addressed. Lounge food offerings worst of any Conrad that I've seen.

Hoping the Dubai location is a lot better, for that is my next stop...

Macau was probably one the best upgrades I got. It was only 1 night, but we got a gigantic suite, they gave us a birthday cake (my buddy's birthday), free champagne, fruit, etc. They even knew I collected Conrad toys, so they gave me 4 different Conrad bears. We were only there for a night, definitely exceeded my expectations.

Cheers,

Me too. I had business there earlier this year and although it was out past the airport I stayed in town at the Conrad to see what it all about. Really nice hotel in a good location, with multiple dining rooms and an adequate gym and indoor pool. No EL of course but I got some form of a room upgrade and I enjoyed the 2 night stay.

Thanks for your reviews of the Dubai property. I'll be there soon, and will comment further. I am a bit concerned...their Concierge has not be responsive...

Had a great stay in HK, but the St. James was bad news.....

NYC is fine so long as you reduce expectations in advance.
