You really got me thinking. Which is my favorite HH brand?
I cannot think of one....
Maybe HGI--at least it's consistent with really good breakfasts.
But hardly aspirational.
For MR--JW Marriott is a home run.
Arguably a direct competitor to Conrad.
In contast to Conrads, JWs are consistently excellent--without outrageous points requirements characteristic of Ritz properties.
In summary--HH lacks consistency across its upscale brands, including its "flagship" Hilton properties

Wow, do I have to choose? Have stayed at the TYO, IST, HKG, and PEK properties.
Of those four, our stay at TYO was most memorable. The lounge food used to be prepared by Gordon Ramsey's Michelin-starred restaurant, and was impeccable. Since Gordon left, not sure how the lounge is now.
The room was great, and the Japanese service culture was remarkable. The location was great for easy access to the Metro.
The former IST lounge had the best views, but the lounge has now changed location.
HKG lounge was very, very crowded. Not at all the respite that we have come to know. The location was great for easy access to the Metro.
Beijing had a beautiful lounge and room. The main trouble we had there was the limited English-language proficiency of the staff, who tried to be so very helpful.
In descending order,if I were only to rank based on the current property configuratoin and staff: TYO, PEK, HKG, IST.

I am limited to the three Conrads have been here in the States (New York, Miami, Chicago) because I travel pretty much exclusively domestically, I but I really enjoy them all and which there were more Conrads in the U.S. Looking forward to trying out the new Fort Lauderdale one when it finally comes online early next year.

I just know in my limited stays I have fully embraced the Conrad hotel concept and its definitely my fave brand. My next trip outside the US will likely be Ireland so I have already decided I will be staying at the Conrad Dublin even though the trip is theoretical still at least point and not happening until next Spring at the earliest.

Interesting to hear people speak positively of the Conrad NY. The last time I considered it, people basically said that it was just a converted ES/HS, that there was no lounge, not a real breakfast, and that I should stay just about anywhere else. It certainly seemed like an outlier in the Conrad brand (especially if comparing to Asia, ME, etc.).

First, none of the US Conrads have Executive Lounges, so if you are used to the lavish Conrad lounges abroad, the lack of any probably makes it feel more Spartanesque. In fact, I think if you are used to nicer international Conrads, you would probably be disappointed with the US Conrads in general, much the way we see dismayed comments from foreign clients about the state of domestic Hilton ELs. Second, while it really suits me (and apparently a few others on here), I could see if you like a more personal, boutique feel, then you might not take to it (aka are you looking for that Andaz Fifth Avenue feel downstair).

And I agree that the Punte del Este Conrad isn't that great. But it's still one of the best hotels in town and is probably the only Conrad with a casino, right?
And the Conrad St. James London is a very nice hotel. I stayed there several times when it was an IC and enjoyed it very much.

Eh, mostly I just like free food, and last I heard they give you basically nothing for breakfast. So, in Manhattan, HGI it is for me...

I was at this property last Dec. and found the free breakfast to be more than adequate. However, you're just limited to a couple of things from the menu. As with what previous posters have said, coming from an Asian Conrad to one here in the U.S. will cause some disappointment. My inner fat kid almost fainted when I saw the breakfast spread at Conrad Singapore.

Conrad Macau is in a mall/property that has three (!) casinos. It is also the Conrad where I've received the best suite upgrades, even as a gold. I'd like to go there back now that they have EL.

Just to clairfy, the Conrad New York HHonors Breakfast options are as follows served with french press coffee or tea and freshly pressed orange or grapefruit juice:
Fresh Baked Pastry Basket - Vermont creamery butter & preserves
Housemade Almond and Quinoa Granola - Organic Greek yogurt & berries
Market fresh fruit & berries
Steel cut oatmeal - warm fruit compote, agave nector
Bruchetta scrambled eggs - vine ripen heirloom tomatoes, local mozzarella, pesto
I have had them all and rotate between the Bruchetta scrambled eggs, granola yogurt and oatmeal. The Bruchetta scrambled eggs is incredibly filling and has a sizeable service of scrambled eggs on top. The granola and yogurt has a lot of really nice berries on top and is a decent serving size.
The main breakfast issue here (and Conrad Chicago) is that since mid to late mornings on the weekend has much more demand than supply so there can be a wait. After many stays I know know if I want a nice quiet breakfast with no wait on Saturday, I need to get my butt out of bed and downstairs as soon as I wake up and not lollygag around in bed. There is a coffee station next to the restaurant where you can exchange your voucher for a to go package.
