Free HH Gold promo

This promo has been long live for Elite credit card holder in Asia. It has been an opportunities for us to join Hilton based on no Hilton co branded card available here.

I signed up through the same promo earlier this year in May (through FT), I wasn't sure if the promo ended but it's live again. So please merge the thread if necessary.

For HH members in Germany or who is interested in opening an account in Germany (I opened an account there without residing in Germany), it's possible to sign up a co brand card and get 10K points plus Gold staus.

I don't understand why Hilton has devalued gold so much, now you can even get the new Citi Card and be instant gold, lately its been just free breakfast and internet, you have to be Diamond now to have a real shot at a upgrade.

That has not been my experience, although I don't stay so often as many. But on my family trip to Europe last month we got upgraded at the DoubleTree Times Square to a King Suite and in Amsterdam at the DoubleTree Centraal Station to a Skyline Suite (which. Was. AWESOME.). The Times Square was on a Be Our Guest certificate and the Amsterdam on points.

Never denied an upgrade as being a Gold till now. But I don't know what happen after this. After confirming as Gold by register from Infinite, I have 11 stay and about 18 nights.

Dont think they have a lounge, didnt upgrade me, dont think there is an exec floor.

Was given free breakfast thats it.

But thats said their rooms are mostly the same for first 3 categories. So I was happy enough with free Breakfast.

Also I was booked on a last min website. Got an awesome rate lol

I don't understand what number do you enter?

In the Visa blanks to get gold status? I am diamond but I want to tell a friend. It looks like it is asking for a hilton number and a visa number.

Is this available for Canadian residents? I entered my RBC BA Visa Infinite number and it says application is not available at this time.

I live in Europe and I use my parents' address in HK to sign up for the offer. I changed my address back to my European address but it didn't work out at all. My Hilton card was sent to my HK address 2 times! Even though Hilton confirmed my home address 2 times before sending the card.

Link still works, in fact T&C state "by 31 May 2013". But registration now requires 16 digit account number rather than just first 6 digits. Curious if anyone knows when they changed it or if there is any way to get around this new requirement. Thanks.
