Should I get credit for a stay and points???

I recently had an award stay (H601). I had some folio charges of about $35 (Internet and upgraded breakfest).

Should I have gotten credit for a stay and points???

Odd thing is the stay posted as a recent stay but had no e-folio data.

Should I contact diamond desk for credit??

Yes, should certainly should get a credit for 1 stay, nights you were there and incidentals. You should even get double points on your incidentals if you were signed up for the current promotion.

Read the T&Cs on the cert you received. They trump the standard T&Cs. If they are using the standard boilerplate I think it's paragraph 11 that states if Nights & Stay credit is available.

A Reward Certificate IS NOT a complementary night, it is an EARNED night. A comp night would be the property giving you a free night for a problem or a comp from a pit boss at a casino.

I've had a few stays (i.e. FN601) that was not processed properly by the hotel, but an eMail to HHonors has solved the problem and credit was posted the same day.

As with any group of people, be it CSRs or FTers or others, there will be some that will look for ways to say no and some that will look for ways to say yes. As is quoted here many times YMMV, so if you don't get the answer you like from Mom, go ask Dad.

You get credit for a stay and get points for eligible items in the folio, which all are except taxes and fees. The awarded points will include base plus double points for Q3 promo and 50% elite bonus as an HHD. That is what I just collected twice this month at Hilton Frankfurt, a cat 6 hotel, on two one-day award stays... Rules are similar for DT.

you are entitled to stay credit as well as points for incidentals....call hilton & they should be able to sort this out for you....

Thanks for all the feedback. Seems the problem is continuing as another stay has posted to my recent stays and the stay award and points have not posted.

I sent an e-mail but this makes three stays in a row that have not credited stay or points.

What should I so.....also I have not been getting the e-mails that after the stay which I always received. Anyone else have simular issues. Thanks.

have you checked your settings on your accounts page????you can also call hilton & let them know you are not receiving mails....

I used to get them up till about a year ago, but never get them now. If I have anything to tell them now, I fill in one of the survey cards in the hotel.

As Hilton HH is pretty good in crediting stays, there might be a reason that your stay trigger was not pulled: If your said reward code was a typo and you used FN601, the answer to your question is :No.

In 10/09 Hilton HH granted you as a one of their most valued members a free night certificate (valid for one free night at Hilton Worldwide hotels between 1/15 and 6/15/10, except at Category 7 hotels). To the contrary of earned rewards, Hilton HH don't grant stay credit for gifted rewards.

FWIW I did not get stay credit for a one night stay paying with granted FN601 certificate and I did not expected it.

If you still have a copy of your FN601 and read paragraph 11 of the T&Cs, it clearly states credit is due. Apparently some properties were not posting the cert properly, as we see from time to time for any cert. When I contacted the DIamond Desk, they replied that the FN601 was not processed properly and they corrected the error.

In the end it's all moot as I am well over the number of stays needed (and approaching nights) for Diamond next year, but since I didn't make it last year, it meant benefits granted one stay early. If Hilton had a soft-landing in their downgrades, I probably wouldn't have cared as much. But it was one email and done, so not much effort needed.

H601 is the code for a Cat 6 night with points - the OP has clearly explained that - yet y'all keep re-hashing the FN601 credit discussion.
