I stayed at two or three properties over Thanksgiving week that I had booked with the Visa rate. I had to use my Visa to book the rooms, but not only did no one ask me to show my Visa card when I checked in, when asked for form of payment I handed over my HH Amex and no one blinked. But yes, that promo appears to be good only through 12/31/09.

I have used the VISA card promo 4 times. Twice I was asked to show a VISA card at check-in. Mind you I have no VISA Signature card - just a regular VISA card - no problems at all :)
