Are these codes that will allow me to get the MVP discount on the standard HH website? I just don't like how the nightly rate is not displayed when searching on the MVP site, and I would hope that this would allow me to search for a hotel, initially see what the standard rate would be, then enter the code and finally get the rate....would be nice!
Never tried the codes, I just book via the MVP site. Would be more convenient to be able to use the codes on HHonors.
I usually use the MVP site for personal US stays.

Yes. Put in the Corporate Code field.

I just finished booking four hotels with the MVP code that way

Not only are the MVP codes good on the main Hilton site, they are also good on www.hilton.co.uk site. That site lets you sort the result list by price, so if you are looking for the lowest price in an area. Unfortunately, just like the main site it does not combine different codes so if AP rates are viable for you, be sure to search without the corporate code on the search page.

This info is in this thread already, but to make it easy ...
Use these codes in the corporate code field.

If you look at multiple properties, the HIS, DT and ES code will stop working because the HH system drops the first zero if you check multiple properties. You must make sure that zero is there -- type it in.

I tried this code in a dummy booking on hilton.com and the Hampton Inn I want in MEX is giving a very good rate. I just want to make sure this rate qualifies for base HH points too-10 points per $?

The only restrictions are below, no mention of sports or press though I can prove I have been published in a hobbyist magazine if necessary.

It does. It also qualifies for the current double point promo.

Other Chains?

Is there a similar game changer (no pun intended) on Marriott, Hyatt, Starwood or other chains?

If it helps any new viewers of this thread, there are great discounts to be had on IHG (and, I believe, Carlson) through the F & F rates, though those do not qualify for frequent stay points. Also on IHG, there was recently (still in effect, I believe) a 2-for-1 Europe deal and there's a new half off deal on some middle east properties.

Is there anything that can even somewhat rival this MVP rate on other chains (i.e. solid discount that earns points)? Or even other solid discounts that don't earn points, in addition to the above F & F options?

In general, the AAA rate tends to work well for a lot of people. Figured I'd check if any of you found similarly great, widely available rate options on other chains. Safe travels!

when trying to make a booking via the above stated link, i'm getting the following message for weeks now:

Your session has expired due to an extended period of inactivity.
You may sign in to reactivate your session

trying to book a room in new york with the corporate rate code mentioned on this site, i'm always getting the message corporate rate not available.

any suggestions for me, how i would be able to get a lower rate in nyc?
with the accenture rate code it worked, but stated on the reservation accenture and the rate. would i have problems at check-in?

thanks!

Use the regular HHonors website. Enter the corporate codes listed in the quotes in post 106 in this thread. For most properties, you'll get 20% off best available rate. IMHO, this is better than using a rate to which you are not entitled. There is no issue with using the MVP codes.

MVP 4-stay challenge problem - advice?

All

A brief history - I registered for the MVP challenge to start 09/13/10.

I stayed 10/4/10 , 11/22/10, 12/06/10 and 12/13/10 but unfortunately on the evening of 11/28 I was unable to get to the hotel (due to inclement weather) to fulfill my (pre-paid) reservation as the roads in the area were impassable.

My dilemma? - the 11/28 stay would have been my required 4th stay within the promotional 90-day period. On the other hand my next stay on 12/13 was (just) outside of the 90-day period.

Does anyone think Hilton may still grant me the Gold Status which I was hoping to get from the challenge?

What would my fellow FT'ers suggest as the best way of trying to get the gold status? ( looking online I changed to silver after the 4th stay ashowed up after 12/13/10)

Thanks in advance

I would call and explain exactly like you did here. While technically you have to stay in the hotel to get credit, you did pay for that missed night already. Can't hurt to call & ask.

For non-US/Canada hotels guests, I can confirm that the MVP fast track to Gold works with Hilton properties abroad. Just did it with two says and 11 nights in South African Hiltons.
