Transfers to Resort
How: Conrad Maldives is a twin-island resort 90km Southwest of Malé International Airport and can be reached in three ways: by seaplane, by a domestic flight followed by a speedboat trip or by private yacht. Please note that all of these transfer options are charged and will be added to your room bill.

Time:
• Guests arriving in Malé on an international flight between 06.00 and 16.00 will transfer to Conrad Maldives by seaplane.
• Because seaplanes can only fly during daylight hours, guests arriving in Malé on an international flight between 16.00 and 22.00 will transfer to Conrad Maldives by domestic flight and speedboat.
• Guests arriving in Malé on an international flight after 22.00 will require overnight accommodation in Malé and a seaplane transfer will be arranged for them the following morning. The resort can book the hotel for you if requested and add the charges to your room bill at Conrad Maldives. (See below for recommended hotels in Malé)
• Guests departing Malé on an international flight before 09.00 will be transferred from the resort to Malé the previous afternoon and will require overnight accommodation in Malé. This can be booked by the hotel for you and added to your room bill charges at Conrad Maldives.

Seaplane Cost: US$500 + T-GST roundtrip per head. Children aged between 2 and 11 receive a 50% discount
Seaplane Luggage: 25kg per person + 5kg of hand luggage. Limit of 32kg per piece of luggage. Excess baggage charged at US $5.00 + 12% T-GST per kg

Lounge: Private Conrad lounge is available while waiting for seaplane. Open until 11PM daily. $85pp + 10% Service Charge and 12% T-GST for use upon departure from resort and before your flight from Malé International Airport. Refreshments, WiFi and dinner provided. Children below 12yrs get 50% discount and Infants below 2yrs are free of charge.

Villa Selection

Advice on Villa Selection (Courtesy of pineapple_09)
Note: You are free to request specific villas, but the property will not be able to confirm them 100% due to operational intricacies. Can't hurt to ask and many have had success.

"Request the 200 number beach villas (sunrise/reef side) vs 100 villas (sunset/lagoon side) - Worst case, try to get upper 100’s as low 100’s are noisy" -johndeere19

Unique Attractions

There is no age limit but for under 12s it's difficult to control as the control arms are long and the pack would be a little big for them.
Price is USD225++ per person, per 45mins (includes flying lesson). Link to the X-Jetpack website where you can find technical info about the jetpack: http://www.x-jetpacks.com/

Now enjoying Vilu happy hour.... Tequila Sunrise and my wife is having an Appletini???
Wow! We saw one spotted diving. They are wonderful.

The boats are full???? When we were there they were never full and sometimes there weren't more than four or five divers. They said in Jan, sometimes they had days when no one dived.

One buzzed my wife missing her head by a few inches while she was walking on one of the paths in front of WV. After screaming we had a good laugh as one of our goals was to get a good picture too on one of our trips.

Btw a few people will transition the Vilu happy hour from 5-6 just down the beach to the quiet zone for 1/2 price happy hour the next hour. Don't care too much for many of the drinks on the menu but I was introduced to Monkey 47 by Muaz. Splash of grapefruit juice and muddled blueberries. Not on menu but very refreshing. Disappointed to discover how hard it is to find back home.

Yep, 16 nn the mornings 2 dives, not overly fussed, the snorkelling is good and I've done 2 live aboard trips on Ari Atolls previously.

Eating at Sunset Grill tomorrow eve, eyeing up Surf + Turf...

My fiancée and I arrived yesterday afternoon and we are loving it here. I'll add more specific thoughts in a post later on today or tomorrow. For scubaroo and anyone else who is here now we are heading to the afternoon tea pretty soon, then to the Vilu happy hour at 5pm (and possibly to the quiet zone for 6pm happy hour). Feel free to find us today (or another day), I am a white guy in a white polo shirt and my fiancée is Asian. I hope everyone who is here now is having a wonderful time

As expected this is a truly fantastic place and worth both the points and effort to get here. Essentially nothing has disappointed in 2 days so far but the most noteworthy items are how kind and attentive the staff is and the overall feeling f privacy without being snotty.

Scubaroo, I believe we spoke at breakfast your first day. Brandon, will look forward to meeting you at happy hour with my fiancée (I'm an average sized white guy and she's Latina).

Well... It's been exactly one year since my trip to the CM. Coincidently This week I started getting this hefty iitch to go back. Spent the evening on the phone with airlines trying to bag some award tickets. Got my tix there with no return yet. Already dreaming of the blue water... Sigh.

You could always look for the cheap business/first class flights out of Colombo....
